The scholarship award money will be paid directly to the school in which the student will be enrolled on May 1st.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants may be any undergraduate and graduate (Masters or Doctorate) students currently enrolled in a degree program in mental or behavioral health, nursing, or addiction medicine.

GPA Requirements

Regarding the required GPA, there is a 3.0 required GPA for those who are applying as freshmen or at higher levels. For graduating seniors in high school, the required GPA is actually 3.5.

  • Undergraduate Applicants: Must be currently enrolled in a four-year degree program or show proof of acceptance to an institution that offers four-year degrees. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last completed academic year at a four-year institution, a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the most recent quarter or semester, or a 3.5 high school GPA if no college has been completed.
  • Graduate Scholarship Applicants: Must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program or show proof of acceptance to an institution that offers Masters and Doctorate degrees. They must have graduated from an accredited four-year institution with a GPA of 3.0.

Other Requirements:

Academic focus in an area of study related to mental and behavioral health, nursing, or addiction medicine is required. The scholarship is designated for full-time enrollment status only and is restricted for use at four-year colleges.

Selection Process and Important Dates

Applications are now being accepted on a continuous, rolling basis for FHE Health’s “Hope for Healing Scholarships.” Due to the high demand and incredible response, FHE has decided to continue accepting applications throughout the selection period in any given year. Throughout this period, any applications that FHE receives will be automatically earmarked for the next selection round. 200 qualified applications (100 undergrad 100 grad) will be chosen for review by drawing.
