Hope International University (HIU) stands as a private Christian university located in Fullerton, California. Strategic Location and Campus Environment
HIU's main campus is strategically situated in the heart of Orange County, in the city of Fullerton, California. The campus is easily accessible, located just west of the 57 freeway between Chapman and Nutwood Avenues.
The main Fullerton campus provides on-campus housing for students. The architecture of the main buildings on the Fullerton campus is designed in the style of Googie architecture, a form of modern architecture popular from the 1930s to 1960s. This futuristic style, influenced by car culture and the Space and Atomic Ages, gives the campus a distinctive character. These buildings were designed by Eldon Davis, who, with partner Louis Armet, founded one of the most renowned architectural firms in Los Angeles history. Some consider it the largest collection of Googie modernist architecture remaining in the world.
A notable feature of the campus is the cobalt blue cross depicted next to the HIU logo on the signage on the north end of the Fullerton campus. This cross, with its unique design that aligns with the Googie architecture of the buildings, was modeled after a design by artist and architectural sculptor Randall E. Secrest. Secrest's original piece is a large stained glass window in the sanctuary of Chaparral Christian Church in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Hope International University is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). HIU offers programs through various delivery models, including on-campus, online, and a combination of both.

Merger and Expansion
In the past, Nebraska Christian College (NCC) merged with Hope International University. The NCC campus in Papillion, NE, spanned 80+ acres and included classrooms, dorm suites, a student center, cafeteria, and faculty/staff offices. The Ministry Equipping Center (MEC) featured a 500-seat auditorium, classrooms, practice rooms, voice/audio editing suites, a preaching lab, and a coffee bar. However, the NCC branch campus near Omaha has since closed.
