This article provides a comprehensive overview of the Season 3 balance changes in Finkwick Doodle World, focusing on player versus player (PvP) combat. It will cover type matchups, new held items, new moves, and individual Doodle adjustments.
Type Matchup Adjustments
Several type matchups have been rebalanced to create a more dynamic combat environment:

These changes will significantly impact team compositions and strategies, requiring players to adapt to the new meta.
New Held Items
Two new held items have been introduced to add strategic depth to battles:
- Enchanted Emerald: Functions similarly to a Choice Scarf, likely boosting the holder's Speed stat at the cost of move choice lock-in.
- Jack-In-The-Box: This item is similar to a Red Card, forcing the opponent to switch out their active Doodle after the holder is hit by a direct attack.
These items can be used to disrupt opponent strategies, control the pace of battle, or capitalize on specific team compositions.

Item Adjustments
Certain items have also been rebalanced to affect the metagame:

Example Build
One example of a strategy that may be viable is with Determination Jelly so you can hopefully get at least one Armor Break sweep assuming they don’t have abundant priority. Make sure you have an easy way to remove entry hazards and the opponent’s priority. Magic Attack and Speed to deal more damage with The Flood and Infection while also making you fast. Pale Sunbonnet for speed and a little damage (the loss of bulk doesn’t hurt since you practically have negative bulk) Helpful Lantern for a little more damage and some speed. Oakwood Staff for boosting both The Flood and Infection, but also Blessed Blade. The idea is simple. You armor break, then win. Blessed Blade since you have a no drawback 140 bp attack (correct me if I’m wrong), The Flood for STAB 130 BP no drawback attack. Infection for coverage so you aren’t walled by Abyssent or Mourveil.
