International Day of the Girl: Irvington and Rye Lake Campus students attended the International Day of the Girl annual event on Oct. 9, at Manhattanville University, joining young leaders and advocates to celebrate the power, potential, and voices of girls around the world. The Westchester County Youth Bureau, in partnership with local non-profit and private organizations, hosted the annual conference. Assistant Director for Special Services Dr. Connally said, "There is no limit to what women can do." Jamiyah said, "Everyone came together to empower and uplift one another creating an environment of genuine support."
Holiday Cheer: SWBOCES at Irvington students kick off a week of Holiday Cheer! A special thank-you to Jessica Walker, Director of Special Services, for supporting the event and serving as our head judge.
On-the-Spot Application Event: SWBOCES students at Irvington who are interested in applying to Westchester Community College had a wonderful opportunity to complete the application process and receive an admissions decision right away. On Thursday, November 20, 2025, a representative of WCC visited the Irvington program for an On-the-Spot Application Event. The event was a success with six applications being submitted. Irvington would like to send a special shout out to Mrs. Williams-Diaz for the one-to-one attention provided in helping our students apply and to Mrs.
