Registration Information and Steps
Applying for Admission
- New Students: If you are a new student to Foothill College or a returning former student, apply for admission.
- Dual Enrollment: To participate in the dual enrollment program, you need special permission from a parent/guardian and your high school principal/administrator.
Registration Groups
Registration dates are assigned based on priority registration groups. All steps must be completed to receive priority registration. Once you have your registration date, you can follow the Steps to Register for classes.

Registration Start Dates
- Students Seeking Their First Degree or Certificate: You may register from your start date through Sept. 25 or June 29.
- Students with Declared Major and Updated Education Plan: You may register from your start date through Sept. 25 or June 29.
Paying for Classes
- Payment Deadline: Pay your fees as soon as possible after registering. Payment in full is required at the time of registration and when adding subsequent classes.
- Financial Aid and Payment Plans: Foothill College offers financial aid options and payment plans.
- Foothill College Promise: If you plan to take 12 units or more (full-time status), you are eligible to have the cost of tuition and fees fully paid for your first year at Foothill.
