James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation Scholarships: Eligibility Requirements
The James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation Scholarship is designed to help students who have financial difficulties during their education to pay for room, books and other fees and to reach their higher education goals. In 2015, James and Rose Perryman established The Perryman Foundation to provide for the education of the next generation of innovators. Since its founding, the Foundation has provided over $2 million in financial support to hard working college students. The Perrymans became leaders in their industry by building a company focused on innovation and quality products.

James T. and Rose M. Perryman were a loving, happily married couple, proud and encouraging role models for their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and founders of the Perryman Company based in Houston, Pennsylvania.
Types of Scholarships Offered
The James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation awards three different types of scholarships:
- Trade School Applicants: Supporting STEM based Programs such as Welding, Machine Shop, Mechatronics (or similar), Networking, Automation, or a technology based program.
- Nursing School Applicants: Supporting 2 & 4 year nursing programs. The James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation Certificate/2-year Nursing Scholarship is available to students who reside within 150 miles of the borough of Houston, Pennsylvania and designated for full-time enrollment status only.
- College & University Applicants: Supporting undergraduate degrees in Engineering, Math, Metals, & Technology. Each year, the scholarship awards up to $15,000 to multiple undergraduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics who live within 150 miles of Houston, Pennsylvania.

So as to be eligible for James T. and Rose M. citizen with overall GPA 3.0 or above.
To be eligible for the James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet specific criteria. These requirements ensure that the scholarship supports students who demonstrate academic promise, financial need, and a commitment to specific fields of study. - Citizenship: Applicants must be James T. and Rose M. Citizens.
- GPA: Applicants must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Major/Program of Study:
- For College Applicants: A college applicant’s major must be in technology, engineering, math, or metals.
- For Trade School Applicants: A trade school’s applicant must be in a program of Welding, Machine Shop, Mechatronics (or similar), Networking, Automation, or a technology based program.
- Education Level: Undergraduate or Trade school programs are only accepted, while graduate or post-graduate programs are not. You must have less than 5 years of undergraduate or trade school education and be registered or plan to be registered as a full-time student in your post-secondary program. This scholarship is designated for full-time enrollment status only.
- Geographic Location: Students who reside with-in 150-mile radius of Houston, PA will have priority, as well as students attending a university within 150-mile radius of Houston, PA. The James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation Certificate/2-year Nursing Scholarship is available to students who reside within 150 miles of the borough of Houston, Pennsylvania. Each year, the scholarship awards up to $15,000 to multiple undergraduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics who live within 150 miles of Houston, Pennsylvania.
- Exclusions: People who are related to a current or former Board Member/Director/Officer of the James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation are not eligible for the scholarship. Furthermore, people directly related to a current employee of the Perryman Company or to James T. or Rose M. Perryman are not eligible as well.
- Financial Need: The James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation Scholarship is designed to help students who have financial difficulties during their education to pay for room, books and other fees and to reach their higher education goals.
How to Apply
If you consider yourself eligible, you should apply for this amazing award. The application process starts on April 1st and finishes on April 30th. Scholarship winners are announced on July 1st. What you need to do is to send a completed application form which will be followed with a video and essay, which are required so that your application is taken into consideration. You will have to attach a minimum of 2 letters of recommendation and they cannot be from Perryman Company Employees or Perryman Family members. If you happen to be the finalist, you will be asked to complete an interview before the Committee makes the final decision. Scholarship Amount
The scholarship amount varies and each Perryman Scholar can get different award. Usually, $25,000 per year are divided into 5-10 scholarship winners.
