Jordan E. Walsh, born on March 3, 2004, is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Boston Celtics in the NBA. His journey to the professional level began with a promising high school career, followed by a single season with the Arkansas Razorbacks, and ultimately led to being drafted into the NBA.

Early Life and High School Career

Walsh grew up in DeSoto, Texas, initially attending Faith Family Academy in Dallas, Texas. He quickly gained recognition as a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2022 class. His talent was evident early on, attracting attention from major college programs.

College Career at Arkansas

Freshman Season (2022-23)

Jordan Walsh committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks, entering his freshman season as a starting wing. He tied the program record for most games played by a freshman, making 36 appearances. Midway through the season, he transitioned to a key reserve role off the bench. His length and athleticism eventually propelled him back into the starting lineup, where he became a crucial defender for the Razorbacks.

During his time at Arkansas, Walsh averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 43.3 percent from the field. He posted career highs of 18 points and four steals against Bradley on Dec. 17, 2022. Walsh's contributions helped the Razorbacks advance to the Sweet 16 of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. In a game against , he scored a game and career-high 18 points (7-7 FG, 1-1 3PT) with a career-high four steals.

2023 NBA Draft and Initial Season

Jordan Walsh was selected with the 38th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. He officially signed with the Celtics on July 6, 2023.

2023-24 Season

During his rookie campaign in the 2023-24 season, Walsh appeared in nine games (one start) for the Celtics. He recorded 15 total points, 20 rebounds, five assists, five steals, one block, and only three turnovers. He made his NBA debut against the San Antonio Spurs on January 17, collecting four rebounds in the final three minutes of play during a 117-98 victory. On February 4, Walsh scored his first two NBA points in a 131-91 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at TD Garden.

G-League Experience with the Maine Celtics

Walsh also spent time with the Maine Celtics, the G-League affiliate of the Boston Celtics. He appeared in 27 games (all starts) and averaged 14.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 0.9 steals in 29.8 minutes per game. In Game 1 of the NBA G League Finals, Walsh recorded 15 points, six rebounds, two blocks, and three steals, contributing to Maine's 106-86 victory over Oklahoma City. Overall, he appeared in five games during the G League playoffs, averaging 14.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.8 steals in 32.1 minutes per game. Notably, he led all scorers with 24 points, adding six rebounds and two assists in Maine’s win over the Long Island Nets on Nov. 19. He also scored a season-high 27 points on 5-of-12 made three-pointers and grabbed 10 rebounds on March 30 vs. the Texas Legends.

Walsh became an NBA champion when the Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks in five games in the 2024 NBA Finals.
