Kean University Bookstore: Your Comprehensive Guide
The Kean University Bookstore, an affiliate of Barnes & Noble College, serves as a central hub for students' academic and personal needs. Located in the Green Lane Academic Building (GLAB), the bookstore offers a wide array of products and services, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed. Mr. Guillermo Giler is the General Manager of the Kean University Bookstore.
Textbooks and Course Materials
The Kean University Bookstore provides options for students to rent or buy new and used textbooks, and access codes directly via KeanWISE. This accessibility streamlines the process of acquiring essential course materials. Recognizing the growing trend of digital learning, the bookstore also offers digital books for purchase or rent through Kean’s YUZU app, catering to students who prefer electronic resources. The Kean University Bookstore will price match only for the first two (2) weeks of classes from the start of the semester.
Textbook Buyback Program
Students can sell their books back to the Bookstore twice a year during the week of finals in December and May. This buyback program allows students to recoup some of their textbook costs while providing the bookstore with an inventory of used books, which can be offered to future students at a lower price.
Technology and Electronics
Beyond textbooks, the Kean Bookstore features a technology shop where students can purchase electronics such as headphones, printers, video game systems, chargers, cords and cables, and USB drives. Recognizing the importance of technology in modern education, the bookstore also offers Apple products (online only) and laptops, including Microsoft Surface and Pro Tablets recommended for courses within the Michael Graves College.

Commuter students are able to print in black and white in any of the University computer labs and in the University Center Atrium.
On-Campus Employment
Students interested in on-campus employment can fill out an application by visiting Human Resources located on the 2nd floor of the Administration Building. In addition, some departments may have their own application process and conduct private searches for student assistants. Networking with particular departments of interest is recommended.
Student Involvement
There are many ways to get involved at Kean University. The easiest way would be to go onto CougarLink at kean.collegiatelink.net and look through the upcoming events on campus. Also, you can find organizations on CougarLink that meet your needs and interests. With 160 student groups on campus, there is sure to be a club or organization for you. If you are looking for a leadership position on campus, you can visit the Office of Student Government. The Office of Student Government has many opportunities to become a student leader. The office funds 25 groups that are given a budget to do various types of programming on campus. In addition, students can get involved in the student government boards by running on the Executive Board or as a representative, where you can be a voice for the students. One can also get involved with the Leadership programs offered by the Center for Leadership and Service.
