Keiser University Pembroke Pines is conveniently located on Pines Boulevard east of Interstate 75, between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The campus is easily accessible from both I-75 North and South.

Associate of Science Degrees

Keiser University offers several Associate of Science degrees designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in various fields:

Diagnostic Medical Sonography: This program prepares competent graduates who are eligible for entry-level positions in the ultrasound field. The program facilitates the development of learned knowledge and skills of a graduate sonographer.

Histotechnology: This program prepares students to work as Histotechnicians in a variety of anatomic pathology laboratory settings.
Medical Administrative Billing & Coding: This program prepares students to assign accurate medical codes for diagnostic procedures and other services offered by healthcare practitioners. Medical Assisting Science: This program prepares students to perform various clinical duties including taking patient histories, measuring vital signs, assisting physicians with examinations, giving injections as directed by the physician, venipuncture, performing CLIA waived laboratory tests, and performing electrocardiograms (ECG). Medical Assisting: This program prepares students to perform medical assisting duties under the direct supervision of a physician, playing an integral part of a physician’s health care team.
Medical Laboratory Technician: This program educates and prepares students to function effectively and collaboratively as a member of a medical laboratory team.
Nuclear Medicine Technology: This program instructs students in the use of radioactive material to visualize, diagnose, and treat pathology through proper utilization of specialized equipment and techniques.
Occupational Therapy Assistant: This program prepares students to work as occupational therapy assistants under direct supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
Radiation Therapy: This program prepares students for entry-level positions in the profession, using ionizing-radiation producing equipment to administer therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by physicians for treatment of disease - generally cancer. The program’s graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and are eligible for licensure by the State of Florida to practice Radiation Therapy.
Radiologic Technology: This program prepares students for entry-level positions in the profession, producing radiographic images in accordance with standardized practices and procedures.
Respiratory Therapy: This program prepares students for employment as respiratory therapists under the supervision of licensed physicians.
Surgical Technology: This program provides students with the technical ability, knowledge, and skills required for entry-level employment as a member of a healthcare team in hospital or surgical center operating rooms. Students receive instruction in essentials of healthcare, surgical instrumentation, anatomy, physiology, medical language, and pharmacology.

Bachelor of Science Degrees

Keiser University offers a variety of Bachelor of Science degrees to enhance students' knowledge and skills:

Biomedical Sciences: This program prepares students for entry into health sciences and analytical/research laboratories. Graduates possess the skills to perform in a variety of science-related positions and will have completed the prerequisites necessary to be successful in graduate programs in the sciences as well as a multitude of professional programs such as occupational and physical therapy, dentistry, pharmacy, physician, and physician assistant programs. A Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences with a Pre-Physician Assistant concentration is available for students pursuing acceptance into Physician Assistant graduate level programs. This concentration prepares students for admission to Physician Assistant graduate programs by providing graduates with the fundamentals required for transitioning into advanced degrees.
Health Information Management (HIM): This program prepares students to interact with all levels of an organization that employ patient data in decision-making and everyday operations.
Health Science: The Bachelor of Science in Health Science is designed for graduates of associate of science programs in allied health fields to enhance their knowledge and skills as a member of the modern healthcare team. Imaging Sciences: This program develops the administrative and/or clinical knowledge of technologists, providing the educational foundation for advanced certifications and career growth. Students may choose from concentrations in imaging administration or clinical imaging depending upon the student’s area of interest and career pathway.
Medical Laboratory Science: This is a degree completion program for Medical Laboratory Technicians that prepares students for work as Medical Laboratory Scientists.
Health Services Administration: This program provides a basic understanding of health services administration and of the unique skills needed by a health service administrator.
