Kennesaw State University: A Comprehensive Guide to Dining Options
Kennesaw State University (KSU) offers a diverse range of dining options designed to cater to the needs and preferences of its students, faculty, and visitors. From award-winning dining halls to convenient quick-service restaurants, KSU Dining Services prioritizes hospitality, quality, and fresh, nutritious ingredients. This article provides an in-depth look at the various dining choices available at KSU, including meal plans, dining locations, special events, and group dining accommodations.
Residential Meal Plans and Dining Dollars
KSU offers residential meal plans to students, providing access to the university's dining halls and other food service locations. These plans include meal swipes, which can be used at The Commons (Kennesaw) and Stingers (Marietta), as well as High Point Café, On the Fly, and Revolution Pizza Express for Meal Plan Combo meals. In addition to meal swipes, residential meal plans also come with Dining Dollars.
Dining Dollars function as a declining balance and can be used at any restaurant across both campuses for tax-free food and beverage purchases. A new set of Dining Dollars is provided each semester for students living on campus. Any remaining Dining Dollars from the Fall semester will carry over to the Spring semester.
Students can easily check their Meal Plan and Dining Dollars balance through the Transact eAccounts mobile ordering app. Additionally, Dining Dollars can be added to a Residential Meal Plan through the same app. It is important to note that purchases made through the Transact Mobile Ordering App are exclusively intended for adding Dining Dollars onto an existing Residential Meal Plan.
Dining Locations
KSU boasts two award-winning, full-service dining halls: The Commons on the Kennesaw campus and Stingers on the Marietta campus. These dining halls offer a wide variety of food options, including made-from-scratch dishes prepared with fresh and nutritious ingredients, some of which are grown at KSU. In addition to the dining halls, KSU also features several quick-service restaurants across both campuses, providing convenient options for students on the go. These include:

Accommodating Dietary Needs
KSU Dining Services is committed to accommodating a variety of food-related allergies and preferences. The dining halls offer options for students with dietary restrictions, and the culinary team is available to address specific concerns.
Group Dining Options
KSU Dining Services can accommodate meals for multiple guests, including internal groups and school groups. Several options are available for paying for group meals, including:
- Department Meal Plan card
- Invoice
- Card
- Check
For internal groups of 20 or more guests, a large group request form must be submitted at least three (3) days before the visit date. Department Meal Plan requests must be made at least two (2) days before the visit to allow for setup time. All requests are primarily for meal services only, and all meals must be paid for on one invoice, card, or check. Anyone entering the dining hall must pay for entry. The dining halls are primarily for students, and accommodation for groups is not guaranteed and depends on availability. Seating requests during peak hours cannot be accommodated.
To request a group visit, complete the visit request form, and a dining representative will contact you for assistance. All groups will be held to the group dining policies. Invoice options for individual group visits may be accommodated for large groups of 20 or more if the other options are not feasible.

Appreciation for Staff
KSU Dining Services has received positive feedback regarding the quality of food and service provided by its staff members. One reviewer specifically praised a staff member named Mary, who was working the sandwich line. Despite a long line, Mary was exceptionally friendly, greeting every individual with a pleasant smile and a welcoming hello. She also executed her job well, using a clean knife and cutting up the ingredients for sandwiches precisely.
Transact eAccounts App
The Transact eAccounts app is a valuable tool for KSU students, allowing them to manage their KCash and Meal Plan balances, add Dining Dollars to their Residential Meal Plan, and manage their Mobile Talon Card. After system upgrades, some users may experience difficulty logging into the eAccounts app. If a “system unavailable” error appears, users should delete and reinstall the app.
