Addressing the Need for Accessible Education
Have you ever considered attending college later in life, but found that the cost is too high and the process too difficult? Are you concerned about balancing your work, family, and personal life while taking college courses? KSU’s continuing education programs address these concerns by providing flexible learning options, including accelerated courses and 100% online degrees. This allows students to save time and money while enjoying the freedom of choosing when and where to participate in their degree courses. You can continue working at your current job and learn at your own pace.
The Growth and Expansion of KSU's Facilities
Kennesaw State University (KSU) once faced a challenge: the need for more classroom space. With a growing Executive MBA program and increasing enrollment in continuing education courses, KSU’s facilities were rapidly approaching capacity. To address this, a private development firm introduced KSU to TUFF, recognizing that TUFF’s unique model - a combination of below-market financing and a commitment to education - might be a good fit for KSU’s vision.
After several in-depth conversations about the university’s goals, KSU asked TUFF to redevelop an underutilized mall into a new classroom, conference, and administrative facility. TUFF invested in the redevelopment effort, providing access to $18 million in below-market financing to redevelop the 166,000 square foot site into a dynamic, built-to-suit facility for KSU students, conference attendees, and faculty. Ultimately, the Continuing Education Center allowed the university to accommodate the growth it knew was coming, gaining considerable classroom and conference center space thanks to practical renovations specified by the TUFF plan.
