FACTS offers various payment options, including invoice and automatic payment plans, with one, two, ten, and eleven installment options.

The La Salle Financial Assistance Committee reviews the application and calculated award amount, assessing both quantitative and qualitative components, to make a final award determination. The application process takes approximately 1 hour to complete once all supporting documents have been gathered. No application will be reviewed without all supporting documentation.

A direct and secure IRS integration is now available for submitting tax documentation, which can expedite the process. Families must submit a financial aid application each year. Late applications are reviewed on a rolling basis after the initial application deadline, subject to the availability of funding. While every effort is made to maintain the same award level between years, an application must still be submitted annually. There are no set income levels required to apply for financial aid, as the review process is highly individualized, considering all factors within the application.

The Financial Aid Committee focuses on essential family expenses and does not issue financial aid to subsidize non-essential personal lifestyle decisions.

One such organization is Student Sponsor Partners (SSP), which provides financial assistance to students throughout NYC. SSP pairs students with sponsors and mentors who offer financial support and one-to-one mentoring. This program is only eligible to incoming freshmen.

De La Salle Institute Financial Aid

De La Salle Institute is committed to making our private, Catholic education accessible to as many families as possible using the generous budget provided for tuition assistance. Financial need is defined as the difference between what it costs to attend De La Salle Institute and a family’s ability to pay. The Report of Family Contribution is sent to De La Salle Institute by FACTS, and it provides the school with a general assessment of a family’s ability to pay for education. However, the primary responsibility of financing a student’s private education rests with the family.

The financial aid application for the 2026-2027 school year will open October 1, 2025. Returning families must apply for financial aid every year. Priority application deadline for incoming freshmen closes on January 5, 2026 and on March 1, 2026 for returning families.

Financial Assistance decisions are made ONLY on completed AND verified financial assistance applications received by deadline. All information related to the parents’ financial circumstances will be treated confidentially.

De La Salle Institute utilizes FACTS to determine a family’s financial need. The Report of Family Contribution (RFC) / Ability to Pay which is computed by FACTS is reviewed by our Financial Assistance Committee and serves as a guideline in making financial aid decisions.
