Introduction
LCC and its Foundation manage scholarships offered by the institution, other foundations, organizations, and agencies. It is a policy of the Board of Education and a priority of Lane Community College that there will be no discrimination and harassment on the grounds of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, religion, national origin, age, or disability in any educational programs, activities or employment.
General Eligibility Requirements
While specific criteria vary depending on the scholarship, some general requirements apply to many LCC Foundation scholarships. These include:
Enrollment Requirements: Many scholarships require recipients to be enrolled in a minimum number of credits per semester. This number often varies, with some scholarships requiring at least 6 credits, while others mandate a minimum of 12 credits. It’s essential to carefully review the enrollment requirements for each scholarship you are applying for. Full-time enrollment is required for most scholarships, as well as maintaining satisfactory academic progress. If required, acceptance into specific programs will also be identified as an Enrollment Requirement.
GPA Requirements: Maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA is a common requirement. Many scholarships stipulate a minimum GPA of 2.0, while others may require a higher GPA, such as 2.5, 2.75, 3.0, or even 3.5.
