Your Success Coach: A Primary Point of Contact
As a matriculated student, you will be paired with a Success Coach who will be your primary or secondary contact for course advisement each semester. Your Success Coach will help you navigate course selections, ensure you're staying on track with your goals, and offer advice to keep you progressing toward graduation. They will also help connect you with other valuable campus resources as needed, supporting your success both academically and personally. The Success Coach serves as a central hub, connecting students with the resources and support systems they need to thrive.
Scheduling an Appointment with Your Success Coach
Before registering for classes each semester, it's important to schedule an appointment with your assigned Success Coach. You can easily find your Success Coach through Degree Works. To access Starfish, ensure your myMCC account is set up. Once logged in, you can book your advising session and get the personalized support you need. Students meet with their Success Coach by appointment. To schedule:
- Log into the MCC portal.
- Select the "Schedule Appointments" tile.
- Click on the "Student Success Coach" tile.
- Click on "Schedule Appt with Success Coach" tile
- Starfish will open and enable you to schedule a meeting time.
This streamlined process ensures that students can readily connect with their Success Coach for personalized guidance.

The Registration Lab: On-the-Spot Assistance
The Registration Lab is open Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm. In the Lab, students can get assistance with scheduling an appointment with their Success Coach and adding or dropping classes.
