Navigating Middlesex College: A Comprehensive Guide to the Campus Map and Resources

Middlesex College, a gateway to a better life, offers a diverse range of academic programs and resources to its students. Understanding the campus layout and available services is crucial for a successful college experience. This guide provides a comprehensive overview of navigating Middlesex College, including information on campus access, parking regulations, available programs, and resources for prospective and current students.

Experiencing Middlesex College: Tours and Information

Middlesex College offers several ways to experience and get to know more about the institution. Whether in-person or virtually, prospective students can interact with the community - students, faculty, and staff - through campus tours, information sessions, and open houses. These interactions provide valuable insights into the college's atmosphere, academic offerings, and support services.

Campus Access and Initial Steps

Visitors are advised to use the College’s main entrance on Woodbridge Avenue. Upon arrival, they should proceed to the Gateway building to receive a parking pass and directions to building locations. This initial step ensures that visitors are properly informed about parking regulations and can easily navigate the campus.

Parking Regulations: A Detailed Overview

Being aware of parking rules is essential for all visitors and students at each Middlesex College location. A current visitor permit must be displayed while the vehicle is parked on campus. Each lot has a specific designation for who can or cannot park there. These designations are clearly indicated by color-coded signs posted by lot numbers. Adhering to these regulations helps maintain order and ensures that parking spaces are available for those who need them. Traffic rules and regulations are in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Event Parking

The college recognizes that numerous events take place on campus. Given the limited number of visitor parking spaces, parking arrangements are made based on the volume of traffic in the parking lot nearest to the specific function. The aim is to minimize the impact on the normal daily operations of the college. Importantly, faculty/staff parking spaces are never used for event parking.

Loading and Unloading

Anyone bringing equipment or supplies to a function must make arrangements with the College Police before unloading or loading vehicles at any building. This policy ensures safety and prevents disruptions to campus traffic flow.

Soccer and Track Events

For those attending soccer and track events, these are held in Thomas Edison Park located behind the College. To access the park, go beyond the College’s Mill Road entrance and make the first left into the Park.

Academic Programs and Opportunities

Middlesex College offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs of study. All associate degree programs can be completed in two years. Most programs allow students to transfer to a four-year college or university to work toward a bachelor’s degree. Some programs enable students to enter a specific field upon graduation.

Financial Aid and Affordability

The amount students pay depends on their residency in Middlesex County, and more importantly, their financial aid and scholarships. Almost all students qualify for substantial financial aid packages and scholarship awards. The college is committed to making education accessible and affordable for its students.

System Upgrades

Colleague, Self Service, and the MyMiddlesex portal will be offline beginning at the close of business on Thursday, March 5 through Sunday, March 15 as system upgrades are completed.
