Chemistry (B.S.): The Advanced Chemistry concentration is an extended curriculum that provides a career-level foundation in all of the traditional subject areas of chemistry. Biochemistry is a rapidly growing field that appeals to students interested in both chemistry and biology. Note: The Advanced Chemistry concentration is no longer enrolling new students.
Communication (B.A.): Communication is everywhere, and in this rapidly changing global environment, we need ethical, persuasive, bold, diverse, and critical communicators who can wear many hats and are ready to help change the world. Journalism, Public Relations, and Sports Communication students develop a deep understanding of the contrasting media fields to prepare them for a wide variety of career opportunities. In the Media, Content Creation, and Sports concentration, students learn in impressive cutting-edge facilities that are welcoming and conducive to learning, guided by seasoned faculty with years of professional experience.
Computer Science (B.S.): Monmouth University’s Bachelor of Science in Computer Science provides a broad, substantive overview and understanding of the many aspects of the 21st century computing professional.
Criminal Justice (B.A.): Monmouth University’s criminal justice program is designed to provide a balanced and comprehensive overview of the nature and structure of the criminal justice system, with particular emphasis on criminal behavior and technology in the field.
Design and Animation (BFA): The BFA in Design and Animation with a Concentration in Animation offers a versatile curriculum that addresses the expressive interests and career goals of our students. The BFA in Design and Animation with a Concentration in Graphic and Interactive Design is a professional degree program specifically created to prepare students for a career in graphic design and its many associated career directions. Our multi-faceted curriculum offers a unique approach to student development with comprehensive courses in print graphics, UI/UX design, web design, and motion graphics.
English (B.A.): Pursue your interest in writing and literature with Monmouth’s B.A. in English program. The English and Education with an Endorsement in P-3 program is designed to serve the various needs of students within the framework of traditional literary study, while preparing students for a career in secondary education. Pursue your interest in literature and creative writing with Monmouth’s B.A. in English with a Concentration in Creative Writing program. You will receive a comprehensive liberal arts education while exploring various works of literature and styles of creative writing, including fiction, non-fiction, and poetry.
Health Studies (B.S.): The need is rising for skilled experts to deal with all aspects of human health.
History (B.A.): The B.A. in History curriculum is designed to provide an understanding of the complex forces that have shaped the modern world. and European history, as well as in the history of Western Civilization.
Interdisciplinary Studies for Elementary Educators (ISEE): The Interdisciplinary Studies for Elementary Educators (ISEE) program is designed for students interested in teaching general content subjects at the elementary (K-6) level.
Marine and Environmental Biology and Policy (B.S.): Monmouth’s B.S. in Marine and Environmental Biology and Policy program will teach you to apply a foundational knowledge of science to pressing environmental issues, laws, and policies.
Mathematics (B.S.): Students pursuing Monmouth’s Bachelor of Science in Mathematics will become linguists in the fundamental language of the universe. Our dynamic and experiential curriculum integrates core mathematical subjects with nontraditional courses such as mathematical reasoning and the history of mathematics. Math students can choose to concentrate in statistics to focus on data analysis, mathematical models, and specialized statistical programs.
Music (B.A.): The B.A. in Music with a Concentration in Music Industry allows students to learn the areas of music associated with publishing, recording, marketing, talent acquisition, concert production, media relations, and merchandising. Building upon a foundation in music, theatre, and dance performance, our B.A. in Music with a Concentration in Musical Theatre students are also trained in various areas of production and design. You will be taught by, and work alongside, seasoned professionals who have decades of experience on and off Broadway.
Political Science (B.A.): The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science is ideal for students who want to gain an understanding in the fundamentals of early and modern political thought, American government, international relations, comparative political systems, legal studies, gender studies, public policy, and research methods.

Leon Hess Business School

Business Administration (B.S.): Business Administration majors, with a concentration in accounting, are prepared for wonderful accounting careers. The accounting program fulfills all the undergraduate academic requirements to sit for the CPA exam. With a concentration in economics, business students learn to use fundamental economic concepts and methods to analyze the impact of economic forces on decision-making. Finance students learn to assess and price risk, apply finance theories to market analysis, and analyze corporate investment and financing decisions. The Management and Leadership curriculum within the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program provides both a broad understanding of all the business disciplines and an area of focus in one of three departmental concentrations.

Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS): Monmouth’s M.S. in Information Systems (MSIS) is a unique, innovative program that melds management, computer science, and software engineering to prepare you for a leadership role in the IT sector. The Management track emphasizes information technology management and business strategic management. In this track you’ll take additional business courses. As the only program of its kind in New Jersey, our 39-credit online degree combines the core M.S.Ed. Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP): Monmouth University’s 60-credit master’s in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) offers you a comprehensive curriculum with specific, specialized courses, and delivers a strong focus on evidence-based practice.
Master of Business Administration (MBA): The Monmouth MBA gives you the analytical and decision-making skills you’ll need to succeed in the industry you’re most passionate about.
Master of Science in Software Engineering (M.S.): If you already have an undergraduate degree in software engineering obtained from an accredited institution, you may qualify for this advanced track. Your thesis will involve original research on a software engineering topic. You’ll replace the 6-credit thesis with two guided electives. Note: This program is no longer enrolling new students.
Master of Science in Criminal Justice (M.S.): Be on the forefront of a new era in criminal justice. As the only program of its kind in New Jersey, Monmouth’s Intelligence Analyst track prepares students to gather, organize, analyze, and interpret data that informs high-level decision making across multiple criminal justice sectors. Monmouth’s 12-credit Leadership track focuses on the practical application of leadership and management theories.
Physician Assistant Program (M.S.): Our fully accredited, full-time, 95-credit physician assistant (PA) graduate program is comprised of 28 months of coursework and supervised clinical practice experiences (i.e., clinical clerkship rotations) completed in 3-years time.

Professional Licensure and Certification

Monmouth University provides information about programs that may lead to professional licensure or certification in compliance with Federal Regulations §668.43 (2020 Rule) and the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA). Monmouth University’s program curriculums meet the requirements of the State of New Jersey. Currently, Monmouth University has not made a determination of the same for other states.
