Navigating Monroe College Blackboard: A Comprehensive Guide
Monroe College's Blackboard platform is a vital tool for students, faculty, and staff, providing access to course materials, assignments, and important college resources. This article offers a comprehensive guide to navigating the platform, addressing common technical issues, and accessing support when needed.
Accessing Your Account and Blackboard
The first step to utilizing Blackboard is accessing your account. If you are unable to sign in, confirm that you have completed the admissions process and registered for the upcoming semester. Also, check if you have received your username and password credentials. If you did not receive your credentials, contact the IT Help Desk for assistance.
Resetting Your Password
A common issue is forgetting your password. You will not be able to reset your password without first registering a device for multi-factor authentication (MFA). To reset your password, click the “Forgot username or need to reset your password?” link. Enter the entire phone number associated with your account for verification. Create a new password that is at least 8 characters long, includes a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and/or special characters.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
Staying connected is essential for accessing Blackboard. Ensure you are connecting to the “Monroe Faculty-Student” Wi-Fi network and using your most up-to-date login credentials.

Please read the instructions posted on the Welcome page for important information. Notably, Monroe College will not withhold your transcript because of any balance due to the University.
Unofficial Transcripts: Unofficial transcripts are available free of charge for students who attended Monroe University after 2008. To access an unofficial transcript, please go to MyServices then select Transcript.
Holds on Transcript Requests
If you have a hold on your transcript request and see a charge on your credit card, it is likely a pre-authorization, not an actual charge.
