Jack

Jack stands at about 5ft 2 inches or 157 CM. This does not include antler length, just from foot to head. They have sandy brown fur that covers up most of their body, except for the tip of his ears and tail. Instead, those are a chestnut brown. Their antlers, however, are actually quite small. They only have two notches within them, and they don’t extend out too to high. This is strange, considering how large the antlers of his predecessors have been. They are a light beige in color, similar to that of the desert sands native to species. Between antlers and ears lies a tuft of messy, curly hair. They usually style it to be a sort of floppy curlhawk, but keep the rest of their fur trim and proper. He prefers to dye this part, and has currently bleached it to be lavender in color. This adds brightness to his somewhat more rounded rabbit face, in contrast to their dark, almost black eyes. Besides that, they have a few piercings on their ears, usually wearing matching sets of studs.

While a cryptid, they are more or less biologically still a Jackrabbit. Thus, despite his small stature, he is mostly lanky and built on tough, lean muscle. They have runner's legs, and the pads of their feet are quite hard. Their feet are particularly desensitized, and they go pretty much everywhere barefoot. While they do have legwear, they do not have footwear.

As for outfits, Jack can be found wearing a few. Their default is a pastel-colored hoodie, either baby blue, lavender, mint, or lemon in color. Beneath their hoodie they wear a white’s athlete’s tank top. On particularly cold days, they’ll add a turtleneck as a layer. These will usually be darker colors, forest green, chestnut brown, or royal blue, coordinated best with their hoodie of choice. On particularly warm days, he’ll replace the hoodie with a short-sleeved, button-up flannel shirt (that is never buttoned). These are either a blue/white plaid, red/black plaid, or a green/orange plaid. As for bottom wear, the rabbit wears briefs or a jockstrap when at the gym. He usually will always be wearing khaki cargo shorts regardless of the weather.

The main thing that he’ll change out is the belt, depending on the mood. On rare occasions, they’ll instead by wearing a fur kilt, but that is only for the coldest of cold days. In addition to that, they wear copper compression leggings that cover their calves. For accessories, Jack is often found wearing a red scarf during the winter and fall months. During the spring, he’ll always be found wearing a flower crown or decorating his antlers with fresh flowers. During the summer he’ll be wearing a visor while outdoors. Besides that, you’ll always find them wearing a variety of bracelets on their left arm. Two are bands of the Gay Pride Flag and the Nonbinary Flag. Another being a starry bracelet, and the lastisg a wooden bangle with a carved desert-scape. He also commonly wears a lanyard with his room key attached to it, with the lanyard’s design usually being a video game series he loves.

Jack is complicated, but aren’t most creatures? They tend to be a bit more reclusive around people they aren’t too well acquainted with, but are extremely social and outgoing with people they know. Their brain is constantly going at 80 MPH, and often will think through things before their mouth or hands can fully compute what’s going on. Thus, he easily stumbles over his words and is pretty clumsy. This also makes him really bad at reading other people, and will often make him miss points people are saying. Additionally, his hearing is… iffy, as his brain will often tune out certain words and he’ll be determined to know what was said.

They love to run, play video games, write, draw, do photography, cook food, and work out. He’ll often wake up super early and do a run around either campus or town, before going to the gym and doing cardio for an hour. On their down days, they’ll either be holed up in their self-made “burrow” playing video games alone or with friends or out with their camera taking photos of what they see around them. Between classes is often running to the coffee shop to buy yet another latte, and can commonly be found at either coffee shop downing three different cups while working away on homework, studying for class, personal projects, or rough sketches. At night, he prefers to cook food for himself but will cook for his friends if they promise to clean up (and that is usually a deterrent). On clear nights when they don’t have class the next day, they’ll often stay up to stargaze.

However, they are a slob. They often make messes of things and are bad about cleaning up after themselves. They only do laundry once a week, at most, if they remember, and can often end up smelling like body odor if they end up forgetting. This really only is a, uh, problem for their roommate most of the time. He does at least take a quick shower after working out, and then at least an hour long one before going to bed, but tends to skip out on using soap every other day to not damage his fur. Not that it helps the smell. He is also riddled with anxiety and is often desperate to try to win the approval of others. He’s realized just how toxic that mentality is for himself, and purposefully took a break from school in order to work on it. They do know it still occurs but have managed some more healthier coping mechanisms to try and work it out. Yet, he still is slightly on edge and is extremely jumpy. If he gets surprised, he’ll either cower or try to run away. Or, if he sees something he’s afraid of (Spiders and Scorpions, Large Birds of Prey, massive heights) he’ll most likely have am minor freak out at best. Lastly, he is extremely needy and touch-starved. He is a rabbit, after all. He tends to be a bit overly physically affectionate when around people he cares about. They also get really, really bad when they rut. Luckily, the school schedules spring break around most monster’s… schedules to try and keep it out of campus grounds. It doesn’t necessarily help him, though, when his libido is one of the highest in the school.

Coming from the long, long, LONG line of Jackalopes, Jack is the eldest son of the 27th generation. Thus, he got the major family name, which he hates. While he rather not be called Jack at all, he feels the name at least fits him better than his full name. They feel its too formal, and more grounded in their family history. As with most of his kind, Jack hails from the southwestern deserts of the United States. He grew up near Tuscon, Arizona in his early, early childhood. His parents, however, managed to relocate themselves to Northern California. He was already a cryptid to start, and the move was really not healthy for him as everything he knew was gone. While they were able to adapt well enough, hiding who they were from others was… difficult. It caused a lot of identity crises during their teenage years, before them really finding themselves as an adult. At least they didn’t need to wear a stupid amulet to blend in with the human population at this place. The main solace they did have while on their journey of self-discovery was the sky above. Most skies shared the same stars, and that was a comfort to him. Part of the reason they decided to go back to school was in fact the sky above. He realized that he wanted to study the stars more in-depth, photograph them, write about them… everything. That if at least one thing was a constant, then everything else would work out in the end.

Fenrich

Hulking over most people at 6 ft 5, Fenrich is of nordic descent. He has ashen gray fur that turns smoky black towards the tips. It is more pronounced with his ears, snout, paws, and tail. He has a fluffy fauxhawk that he styles up, and constantly is dying crimson. He says it is an homage to his lineage. His eyes are a light blue, bringing the only other non-neutral color to his pallet.

Fenrich prefers to wear camisa-style shirts, either black or red in color. He’ll often wear nothing beneath, leaving a good amount of his bare chest exposed. In more formal settings, he’ll instead opt for a black and red sequenced vest. Besides that, he is often seen wearing beaten-to-****, ripped jeans. He often will tie together the holes with hanckercheifs as well. As for shoes, he is always wearing custom-made studded leather boots. He’ll also never be caught dead without his spiked leather collar and wristlets. When not in this punky set-up, Fenrich will usually be in his workout attire. Black and red sneakers, red jogging shorts, and a wifebeater.

A punky femtwunk, Fenrich is hot-headed and sarcastic. He likes to be haughty and assertive, but this is more or less covering up severe abandonment issues. Despite his spiky and icy exterior, he is a sweetheart once he warms up to you. He tends to keep his things neat and orderly, but mostly because he likes to collect dangerous things. He’s a knife nut and keeps a pristinely polished collection of knives from across the glove. Though, he also has a lot of Nordic weaponry in general, in honor of his lineage. He is quite protective over his ancestry, and proud of it as well. Though, he tends to be a lone wolf as well. He’ll often want to spend most of his time alone, or at least not bothered. Thus, he is quite bad about communicating until the last minute. He is also more nocturnal, and thus will not be available most days emotionally. He is also an obligate carnivore and is always looking to pick a fight.

A modern descendant of Garmr, the guard dog of Hel. While most of his lineage’s power has faded over the years, Fen is still proud of it. While he spent most of is early life in Scandinavia, his parents moved him down to Germany in his teenage years. While his father is a pure hellhound, his mother was entirely human. Thus, he is considered the first “half-breed” in his family. This has caused almost all of his Father’s side to abandon him, and he is determined to win back their acknowledgment. Fen is tri-lingual, native in Swedish and German, and is proficient in English. His English is heavily accented.
