Pathways to Success: Degree, Diploma, and Certificate Programs

MCC understands that students have different goals and timelines. To accommodate these varying needs, the college offers degree, diploma, and certificate programs.

  • Degree Programs: Complete your first two years of a bachelor’s degree with EICC and take advantage of transfer agreements that ensure a smooth transition to a four-year college. You can complete general education courses as well as courses required for your major. To earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, you must complete the general educational and technical competency requirements of a two-year technical program with a GPA of 2.0 or better in your award major. AAS degrees vary by program in the number of credit hours required for completion, and range between 62-86 total credits. All course work must be at the 100 level or above. A minimum of 15 credit hours of general education is required for the AAS degree, with at least one course in Communications, one course in Humanities or Social Science and one course in Math or Science.

  • Diploma Programs: A Diploma is a program of coursework which may be completed in less than two years. To earn a Diploma award, you must complete a minimum of three credits of general education coursework in Communications, Humanities, Math, Science, or Social Science. All coursework must be at the 100 level or above.

  • Certificate Programs: A Certificate is a program of coursework which may be completed within 12 months or less.
