The highly anticipated release of EA Sports College Football 25 is bringing back a beloved feature: Team Builder. This tool allows players to craft their own custom college football programs, injecting a personal touch into the game. Ahead of the game’s global release, EA Sports has released full details on College Football 25 Team Builder.

Team Builder Launch and Accessibility

Team Builder is set to launch on Thursday night for College Football 25 for everyone. A free EA account is required to access this. Team Builder Teams can only be used in private Online Dynasties.

If you don't feel like creating your own team but still want to join the fun, check out the download center in EA Sports College Football 25. Here, players can find all of the teams that have been created and uploaded using Team Builder. The download center features numerous methods of finding schools. These include sorting via top downloads, top-rated, and customized searches, which can be broken down by filters, keywords, and usernames.

Currently, there are only about a half dozen or so creations available, made up of a handful of creators who had a 10-hour trial early access thanks to purchasing the Deluxe Edition of EA Sports College Football 25. Today, July 18, EA announced that Team Builder on the web would launch tonight.

Unparalleled Customization Options

As far as what you’ll be able to create, it appears that almost nothing is off limits for players. EA didn’t spend much time breaking down the features in Team Builder. However, they shared some screenshots and spoke about it briefly. I took some notes and put some other pieces together based on how the old system worked.

Logo and Identity Creation

You can create a primary, secondary, and tertiary logo. If you do decide to use your own logo, make sure to remove its background so the image is transparent.

Keep in mind that created logos must not contain offensive content and cannot be copyright material. Furthermore, it must not contain information about anyone.

Uniform Design

Expect Deeper Uniform Creation in College Football 25. You can choose your uniform provider - Nike, Under Armor, or Adidas can be selected. Fans will also be able to adjust and modify their players as well as their playbooks. Each uniform set lets you customize helmets, jerseys, pants and socks. Depending on who you chose as your Apparel Brand, you'll see their logo on different pieces of your Uniform.

There's a lot to customize here, so take your time and enjoy. Remember, you can always save your progress and come back to it later.

Multiple Uniform Combinations - You can have up to five total presets. To break it down, that’s five helmets, five jerseys, five pants, and five socks. That allows fans can create up to five uniform presets for their respective teams, with 625 different uniform combinations available.

Custom Layers - Rather than all one flat image, the designs for your uniform are individual custom layers. We were told logo placement, pride icons, and other elements could be placed all over the uniforms rather than in select areas like the old Team Builder. This freedom opens the creativity for users who take the time to customize their created schools fully.

Stadium and Field

For your stadium, there is no custom stadium creation. Instead, you select one of the 134 team stadiums within the game. Team Builder Teams can only be used in private Online Dynasties.

The Stadium Creation Will Have More Layers. According to EA, there are more than 150 stadiums to choose from as a base with some customization options. Fans can modify several aspects of their respective stadium choices such as the crowd, surface, logos, end zone, numbers, sidelines, and benches.

There are eight components overall to choose from. The stadium section lets you choose one of any of the game's many stadiums to use as a base. From there, you can customize it to your liking. For example, if you like Texas A&M's Kyle Field, but want to make some adjustments, you can totally do that. Overall, this section lets you customize a wide variety of settings in the stadium. Just take your time and don't feel intimidated by all the options.

Roster and Playbooks

Fans will also be able to adjust and modify their players as well as their playbooks. In addition to creating their own teams, fans can view and download the highest-rated teams by other members of the community.

Program is where really get into the nitty gritty of team building. Not only can you customize your offensive and defensive playbooks, but the entire roster of your team. This menu lets you customize everything from player appearance, to their name, to the actual attributes.

There Are More Than 16,000 Head Combinations to Choose From in Creation. When creating players, College Football 25 has more than 16,000 head combinations. Aside from this, when building the players on your roster, there are 70 hairstyles and 14 skin complexions. These options seemingly provide more depth than what we’ve seen in previous Madden games and more than what NCAA Football used to offer. Thankfully, Team Builder is coming to Madden 25 as well, so the hope is that it will raise the level of customization on the NFL product, too.

Building Your Dynasty

College Football 25 features a massive number of schools to play with in Dynasty, but you can still create and import one with Team Builder if you want to create something new.
