Nerinx Hall Tuition and Financial Aid Opportunities
Nerinx Hall High School, rooted in the love of Christ and committed to empowering young women, understands that the cost of private education can be a significant consideration for families. This article provides a detailed overview of the tuition expenses at Nerinx Hall and the various financial aid opportunities available to prospective and current students.
Understanding the Costs
For the 2012-2013 school year, the tuition was $11,300. In addition to tuition, families should also be aware of other fees such as:
- Yearly Registration Fee: $435 per student. This includes a $400 prepaid tuition fee that is deducted from the first tuition payment in August.
- Annual Instructional Fee: The amount may vary.
- Laptop Fee: Approximately $700 annually for the student's laptop computer.
It is important to note that tuition and fees are subject to change. Contact Nerinx Hall for the most up-to-date information.
A Commitment to Diversity: Scholarship Opportunities
Nerinx Hall believes that diversity within the community enriches the educational experience for all students. To support this belief, the school offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for students with financial needs. These scholarships range from $200 to $5,000.
Applying for Scholarships
Parents of incoming freshmen who wish to apply for scholarships should begin the process after receiving acceptance letters in early February. The application process involves the following steps:

Important Dates and Deadlines

Any financial aid award is contingent upon verification of the 2012 tax return by FACTS and being within a reasonable range of the estimated income provided.
Student Worker Program
Nerinx Hall offers a student worker program for families with demonstrated financial need. Acceptance into the program requires the family to file a parents' confidential financial statement with FACTS. Students who receive these grants work for specified periods of time to earn the tuition aid.
External Scholarship Opportunities
In addition to Nerinx Hall's internal financial aid programs, students can also explore external scholarship opportunities from various organizations and companies. Many schools have automatic scholarships. This means that if you complete the application for admission, you will automatically be considered for scholarships. Be aware that some schools will have a separate scholarship application in which you must complete by the deadline to be considered for scholarships.
SMARTTRACK® College Funding
Nerinx Hall has partnered with SMARTTRACK® College Funding High School Initiative to assist 9th-11th grade families with college financial planning. SMARTTRACK® offers tools to forecast and strategize plans to reduce college costs, including a chance to review personal circumstances with their advisors.

Additional Financial Aid Resources
- FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid): The FAFSA is the form you need to fill out to get any financial aid from the federal government to help pay for college. Lots of states and colleges also use the FAFSA to determine which students get financial aid-and how much they’ll get.
- CSS Profile: The CSS Profile is an online application used by SOME colleges and scholarship programs to award institutional (their own) aid. (For federal aid you must complete the FAFSA).
- A+ Scholarship: The A+ Scholarship Program provides scholarship funds to eligible graduates of A+ designated high schools who attend a participating public community college or vocational/technical school, or certain private two-year vocational/technical schools. Nerinx is considered an A+ High School. Some Missouri four year universities will award scholarships if a student has participated in the A+ program.
- Missouri Student Grant: Students seeking a first bachelor's degree and have demonstrated need may be awarded grants. Students seeking a professional degree are not eligible to receive a Missouri Student Grant.
Considerations for Military Families
Webster University offers benefits to military families. Webster offers military tuition rates for active duty, reserve, and National Guard members and their spouses at both in-classroom and online courses and degree programs.
Understanding the Application Process
Applying for Need-Based Financial Aid and Scholarship consideration takes about 30-45 minutes to complete in FACTS (our financial aid and tuition payment platform). Regardless of the marital status of an applicant’s parents, both of the child’s biological parents must complete an application.
Important Note
Nerinx Hall knows that students are more likely to attend their top-choice colleges when parents have a well-planned college funding strategy; parents need to prepare for college, too. It is uncommon that scholarships alone will entirely cover your college costs.
