Night Raven College: A Comprehensive Guide to Disney's Twisted-Wonderland Academy
Night Raven College (NRC) is the central location and a prestigious, all-boys academy featured in Disney's Twisted-Wonderland. It's a four-year arcane academy where students hone their magical abilities. Enrollment is selective, with the Mirror of Darkness determining a student's potential as a great mage.
Enrollment and Arrival
Prospective students receive an invitation, and upon acceptance, a black carriage is dispatched, capable of traversing even underwater environments, to transport them to the academy. Students arrive unconscious, confined within coffins referred to as "Gates."
Upon enrollment, each student receives a magical pen, a fountain pen containing their magic gemstone, which also serves as a wand. The gemstone's color corresponds to the student's assigned dorm.
Dormitories: Echoes of Villains
Night Raven College houses seven dormitories, each modeled after a legendary figure known as the Great Seven, drawing inspiration from iconic Disney villains:
- Heartslabyul: Inspired by the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
- Savanaclaw: Inspired by Scar from The Lion King.
- Octavinelle: Inspired by Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
- Scarabia: Inspired by Jafar from Aladdin.
- Pomefiore: Inspired by the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
- Ignihyde: Inspired by Hades from Hercules.
- Diasomnia: Inspired by Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.
The Dark Mirror assesses the nature of a student's soul, assigning them to a dorm that reflects their inherent qualities.

Dorm Personalities and Traits
Each dorm embodies distinct characteristics, shaping the personalities and values of its residents.
Heartslabyul:
- Core Values: Justice, law, and order.
- Positive Traits: Protective, vigilant.
- Negative Traits: Tyrannical, punishing, exacting, merciless.
- Description: Heartslabyul is mainly populated by those with a strong sense of justice, law, and order. Students in Heartslabyul see the law as important guidelines to society, and consider breaking and reforming said law to help aid in the betterment of society. They believe that the law is above all else, meant to end discord and create peace, and is also meant to protect the people it serves, rather than make them suffer unjustly.
- At their best: Heartslabyul students help create an environment where everyone can feel safe, welcome, and protected. Heartslabyuls are protectors and defenders, and will stick up for any and all that they feel are being treated unjustly from any direction.
- At their worst: Heartslabyul students can become entangled by the law and the power that it brings, and use its power to become overbearing, cruel, and brutally punishing for equally cruel and unusual reasons.
Savanaclaw:
- Core Values: Ambition, determination, persistence, loyalty.
- Positive Traits: Confident, daring.
- Negative Traits: Headstrong, stubborn, impulsive, dastardly.
- Description: Savanaclaw students are those who are confident, daring, and carry a strong sense of determination and even stronger willpower. Savanaclaw students seek the highest possible goals and achievements for themselves and those they care for to accomplish, and strive to overcome all obstacles regardless of their sources or difficulty in order to achieve their goals. If they make a goal for themselves they will persistently fight to achieve it regardless of their losses or the odds against them. They have a natural inclination to pack together and form close bonds with those around them.
- At their best: Savanaclaw students are the ones that rally the troupe in times of need and push them onward when times are hard. They are loyal friends, and are the ones that will stand by you through thick and thin, no matter the odds and no matter the cost. Students of this dorm will pull themselves and those they care about up from any hole, so they can keep living and fighting for their next big win.
- At their worst: Savanaclaw students can be seen as no better than chaotic troublemakers with a complete disregard for what is considered appropriate, legal, or morally acceptable. These types of Savanaclaws are the ones with a tendency to skirt around the law or actively go against it in order to achieve their goals, and happily use underhanded methods without a drop of shame.
Octavinelle:
- Core Values: Observance, intuition, creativity.
- Positive Traits: Sympathetic, empathetic.
- Negative Traits: Exploitative, deceptive, manipulative, capricious.
- Description: Those in Octavinelle are deeply in tune with the world and those around them. They are observant, intuitive, and feel deep sympathy for those that are stricken by misfortune. They are sympathetic, sometimes empathetic, and put their skills to the test with every solution to every problem they dare to challenge.
- At their best: Octavinelle students are the supporters and caretakers of those that need them most. They’re excellent coworkers and even more excellent team players, who will work tirelessly alongside you to help get a job done thoroughly and completely. These are the types of students that you can find almost always volunteering to assist others both in class and for schoolwide events.
- At their worst: Octavinelle students are manipulative, exploitative, and cruel. With their strong sense of sympathy and their ability to detect others’ misfortunes and miseries, these Octavinellians still attempt to seek out others that need their assistance… for a price. For them, no good deed comes without a price to pay, and the more desperate you are for assistance the steeper the price becomes for their assistance.
Scarabia:
- Core Values: Planning, resourcefulness, creativity.
- Positive Traits: Strategic, insightful.
- Negative Traits: Volatile, conniving, distrustful.
- Description: Scarabia’s motto is “Plan with Great Anticipation”, and as such all residents of this dorm thrive off carefully considering their options and preparing every step of their future plans. Whether it be in preparation for an long-term goal or simply planning their daily routine, Scarabians examine and prepare for any and all events and outcomes that may be likely to impede them along their path to success. Scarabians are thinkers, planners, and introspectors, and do nothing in their lives without carefully considering when, where, and how they will approach and complete their daily tasks and chores.
- At their best: A Scarabian is a keen strategist and planner for any event and occasion. These Scarabians take solace in helping others find ways to solve solutions to their problems, and are always more than happy to give advice when they’re needed. When times grow hard they’re the ones that step forward to produce the safest and simplest plans to escape any dire situation, making sure to leave no man behind.
- At their worst: Scarabian students are volatile and conniving, with an acute sense of superiority amongst their peers. These Scarabia students distrust the minds of others, believe that they are the best leaders and the best decision makers, and attempt to seize power as the leader of the groups whenever they can. They force others to adhere to their plans without compromise or consideration, and don’t take kindly to those that attempt to change or alter their plans.
Pomefiore:
- Core Values: Self-betterment, beauty, perfection.
- Positive Traits: Artistic, refined.
- Negative Traits: Prideful, intrusive, condescending.
- Description: Those in Pomefiore seek, above all else, the highest possible form of self-betterment achievable. To a Pomefiore, everything has the potential to be better, more perfect, more pristine. When everything in their world, from the people to the environment, becomes better, then the people within it will be happier and healthier both in body and mind.
- At their best: Pomefiore students find beauty in the world around them, and work to bring beauty back into places that are suffering. They create art, music, and entertainment, they get into fashion and makeup, they work in gardens and in workshops, and they lead exercise courses, create DIY tutorials, and build recipes. Anywhere that they can work to make the world a happier, more beautiful place is somewhere they can be found. These Pomefiores work to better themselves, but they also seek to help others that may struggle in life and strive to uplift them in body and mind as best they can.
- At their worst: Pomefiore students can be seen as prideful, intrusive, and condescending. They seek to mold the world around them into their own idealistic vision of perfection. These types of Pomefiores insert themselves into the lives of others and either force or coerce them to conform to their own twisted image of true beauty and being.
Ignihyde:
- Core Values: Innovation, creativity, hard work.
- Positive Traits: Persistent, creative.
- Negative Traits: Abrasive, antisocial, uncooperative.
- Description: Ignihyde students often take on what others might consider “thankless” jobs (whether willingly or by being forced to do so), and even if they are reluctant to do so, they will persistently work to get the job done regardless of the stress, strain, or circumstances. Ignihyde students are, above all else, obsessed with their work and their craft. Be their passions lying in writing, art, engineering, mechanics, or otherwise, Ignihyde students work tirelessly to ensure that their visions and creations come to life as perfectly as envisioned.
- At their best: Ignihyde students are the hardest workers in a group and society. They get jobs done, even if nobody else wants to do them, because failure to an Ignihyde simply is never an option. Sometimes Ignihydes fall in love with their “thankless” jobs, but more often than not a job is simply a job, and while they’ll commit to it they’ll also actively work to make their jobs less laborious and intensive so they can have freedom to perform outside of their daily grind.
- At their worst: Ignihydes are abrasive, antisocial, and unwilling to cooperate with others. To them they’re always the smartest ones in the room, and the ones that always know how to do things right, and this coupled with their perfectionist mindsets and determination to get jobs done “properly” inhibit their ability to see the value in the work of others.
Diasomnia:
- Core Values: Power, tenacity, skill, dignity.
- Positive Traits: Regal, confident.
- Negative Traits: Egotistical, arrogant.
- Description: Students of this dorm seek to hone and refine the skills that they were already gifted, to give justification for their dignified personas and high demands of treatment. They seek to become masters of their trades and passions, with abilities that shine regardless of the conditions they’re faced with.
- At their best: Diasomnians have the ability to become fine cornerstone artists in anything they set their mind to. They are mentors and tutors, leaders and supporters, and are happy to both follow and act or take control and direct as the situation sees fit.
- At their worst: Diasomnians are egotistical and arrogant, and use their wisdom, skills, and achievements as leverage over others that dare to defy them and their perceived elite status. They become dictators and power silos, ensuring that those around them cannot function without their presence, and demand tribute in exchange for their kindness and collaboration.
