NIU has a scholarship program designed for eligible City Colleges of Chicago students who are Star Scholars, enabling them to transition their associate degree into a bachelor's degree at NIU. To qualify, students must be Star Scholars and have completed an Associate in Arts or Science degree at City Colleges with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and maintain that GPA while at NIU. NIU will consider these students for a variety of scholarships, including merit scholarships, and they may also be eligible for additional state and federal financial aid programs.
