Northwest Arkansas Education Cooperative: Programs and Services that Make a Difference

The Northwest Arkansas Education Cooperative (NWAESC) stands as a service organization dedicated to supporting its member districts. Its core mission, encapsulated in the motto "Making a Difference!", is reflected in its commitment to enhancing student achievement through comprehensive programs and services. This commitment is symbolized by the starfish pin, a constant reminder of the Cooperative's dedication.

A Service-Oriented Approach

NWAESC prioritizes a service-oriented attitude, consistently going the "extra mile" to anticipate and fulfill the needs of its districts. This dedication manifests in several key areas:

  • Prompt Communication: Returning phone calls promptly ensures that districts receive timely support and information.
  • Problem-Solving: Assisting districts in finding solutions to challenges they face, fostering a collaborative approach to overcoming obstacles.
  • Respectful Engagement: Treating every question with patience and consideration, regardless of how often it has been asked.

The Cooperative views itself as a resource for its districts, empowering them to achieve their goals rather than imposing directives. This approach fosters a collaborative environment where districts can thrive. NWAESC concentrates on treating smallest districts with the same level of service as the largest of our districts, working on the “little things”.

Equity and Compliance

NWAESC is committed to equity and compliance, providing support and resources related to Title IX and other educational equity matters. The Equity Assistance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that all students have equal access to opportunities and a safe learning environment.

  • Equity Assistance Coordinator: Serves as a point of contact for equity-related concerns and provides guidance on compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Title IX Coordinator: Oversees the district's efforts to prevent and address sex discrimination, including sexual harassment and assault.

The Cooperative's dedication to equity is reflected in its proactive approach to addressing potential disparities and promoting inclusive practices. The Equity Assistance Coordinator (A. C. A. Core Values and Mission

At NWAESC, “Making a Difference!” has become our motto and we proudly wear the starfish pin which symbolizes our commitment to this mission. We place a high priority on an attitude of service and believe in going the “extra mile” to anticipate and meet the needs of our districts, which will help them increase the achievement of their students. We concentrate on treating smallest districts with the same level of service as the largest of our districts, working on the “little things”… returning phone calls promptly, helping find solutions to problems, and treating every question as if it is the first time it has been asked. We do not feel that we supervise our districts or tell them what to do; rather, we are a resource and we do everything we can to help them accomplish their goals. NWAESC is a service organization.
