OHE stands out as one of the few organizations globally to achieve joint accreditation. This prestigious recognition signifies OHE's ability to offer continuing education activities across various disciplines, including medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and psychology. The organization holds accreditation from esteemed bodies such as the ACCME, ANCC, ACPE, and the APA. Furthermore, OHE is approved by the ASWB’s Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program for social work continuing education and by the NBHWC, PAC for the continuing education and training of National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC). OHE offers a wide range of educational activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of healthcare professionals. OHE's educational programs are designed to be interactive and engaging, incorporating case studies, simulations, and group discussions to facilitate learning and knowledge sharing.
Continuing Education Credits
OHE's programs offer continuing education credits for a variety of healthcare professionals. The specific credits available vary depending on the program and the professional's discipline.

- Physicians: Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of OptumHealth Education and University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. OptumHealth Education is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
- Physician Assistants: The American Academy of PAs (AAPA) accepts credit from organizations accredited by the ACCME.
- AAPC-Certified Coders: AAPC will honor 1-for-1 CEUs for any live event offering CME credit or AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. A certificate of attendance or completion is necessary to show participation. The certificate will give the total CMEs possible for the offering. Physicians are advised to claim only the actual hours that they were present during the education. We ask that AAPC-certified members abide by this request also. One hour of instruction is worth one CEU.
- Pharmacists/Pharmacy Technicians: This activity is approved for specified contact hours (CEUs) in states that recognize ACPE. Attending the full program will earn the full contact hours (CEUs). Satisfactory Completion requires participation in all sessions for the day(s) credit is claimed and completion of the activity evaluation.
- Psychologists: R. Cassidy Seminars is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for psychologists. R. Cassidy Seminars maintains responsibility for this program. Participants must have paid tuition fee, signed in, attended the entire seminar, completed an evaluation, and signed out in order to receive a certificate. Failure to sign in or out will result in forfeiture of credit for the entire course. No exceptions will be made. Partial credit is not available.
- Nurses: OptumHealth Education is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The participant will be awarded up to specified contact hours of credit for attendance and completion of supplemental materials.
- Nurse Practitioners: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) accepts credit from organizations accredited by the ACCME and ANCC.
- Case Managers: This program has been pre-approved by The Commission for Case Manager Certification to provide continuing education credit to CCM® board certified case managers. To claim these CEs, log into your CE Center account at www.ccmcertification.org.
- Managed Care Nurses: This activity has been approved for a maximum of specified clock hours for Certified Managed Care Nurse (CMCN) recertification by the American Board of Managed Care Nursing (ABMCN).
- Social Workers: R. Cassidy Seminars, ACE provider #1082 is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program. R. Cassidy Seminars maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social workers will receive a maximum of specified continuing education (clinical) clock hours in participating in this course. Participants must have paid tuition fee, signed in, attended the entire seminar, completed an evaluation, and signed out in order to receive a certificate. Failure to sign in or out will result in forfeiture of credit for the entire course. No exceptions will be made. Partial credit is not available.
- Transplant Coordinators, Transplant Nurses, Procurement Transplant Coordinators: The American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) has approved this educational offering for up to specified Category 1 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Certification (CEPTCs).
- Medical Assistants: The American Association of Medical Assistants allows up to 30 non-AAMA recertification points for CMAs (AAMA) who are recertifying by continuing education.
- Counselors/Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT): The Board of Behavioral Sciences has deferred CE course approvals to APA and ASWB for its licensees.
- Hematopoietic Transplant Coordinators: This learning activity qualifies towards recertification for certified hematopoietic transplant coordinators (CHTC).

The Interprofessional Continuing Education Planning Process
OHE's IPCE planning process follows the strict guidelines set for by the Joint Accreditation Committee and includes identifying areas of need (professional practice gaps), identifying specific learning objectives related to those needs and recruiting subject matter experts to participate as faculty in developing and delivering educational content. OHE develops IPCE that is independent, free from commercial bias, based on valid content and effective in improving the quality and safety of care delivered by health care teams. To achieve this goal, OHE combines adult learning principles with professional competencies outlined by national health professional organizations and health professional educational associations.
