Access Options and Payment
Pearson+ offers flexible access options for eTextbooks:
Fixed 6-Month Access: This option works like an eTextbook rental. You can choose to pay in 6 equal monthly payments or make one up-front payment. If you need your eTextbook for longer than 6 months, you can extend your access by going to the Manage access page in My account. Select Extend access before the initial 6-month access period ends. If you extend your access, we'll automatically charge you a fixed amount every month until you cancel. We will use your initial payment method (credit card, PayPal, or Apple Pay) to extend your access. To ensure your learning is uninterrupted each month, please keep your payment method up to date. To avoid the next payment charge, select Cancel access on the Manage access page in My account before your next scheduled payment date. If you purchased your eTextbook from Pearson directly, you can end your access and get a full refund within the first 14 days. Just visit My account and select Cancel and refund next to the eTextbook. Need to exchange your eTextbook but are near the end of your 6-month access term? If you purchased your eTextbook from Pearson directly, you can exchange it and continue for another 6 months with the new eTextbook. Sign in to Pearson+, go to My account and then select Exchange eTextbook.
Lifetime Access: This is a one-time purchase of an eTextbook for a set access term of 5 years. After checkout, you'll have access to your eTextbook for a set access term of 5 years. During this 5-year access term, you will have full web access to your eTextbook, as well as access through the Pearson+ mobile and desktop apps. After 5 years, you will no longer have access unless you have downloaded the title prior to the expiration of the 5-year term. If you have downloaded the title, you can continue to access it through our mobile and desktop apps. With lifetime access, eTextbooks can only be downloaded during the first 5-year period, and they can only be accessed through Pearson+ apps.
