If your name is selected, any prerequisite courses taken outside of LACCD (including High School AP classes in English and Math) will be evaluated by the LAPC Counseling Department. Notably, the program does NOT have a recency policy, meaning there's no restriction on how recently prerequisite courses must have been completed.

LAPC nursing must be able to validate your TEAS score for admission. You must provide LAPC nursing with access to your TEAS transcript through ATI if you did not take the exam at LAPC.

Students who score below the 62% benchmark on their first TEAS attempt are required to complete a remediation plan before re-taking the test. Failure to adhere to the remediation plan will prevent re-testing with Pierce College. - GPA for Science Courses: GPA in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology (lecture and lab). No more than one repetition of one science course. Completion of relevant coursework with a C or better to obtain the nursing degree from LAPC.
- Veteran Status: Points are awarded for veteran status with required documentation.
- Non-Traditional Fields: Points may be awarded for experience in non-traditional fields with required documentation.
- Life Experience or Special Circumstances: Points may be awarded for life experience or special circumstances with required documentation.
- Disadvantaged Social, Educational, Environment: Points may be awarded for disadvantaged social, educational, or environmental backgrounds with required documentation.
