The Internship Experience: A Glimpse into the World of Aviation

One former Sales and Marketing Intern shared their experience, noting that from the moment they arrived in Vero Beach, they were welcomed with kindness and treated like family. During their time at the Piper factory, they created many lasting memories. On their first day, they flew in an Archer and saw their new town from the air, a unique and memorable introduction to the company and the area.

During the internship, the student had the opportunity to fly in the right seat of an M350 and in an M600/SLS over the Florida Keys. They also flew themselves into a PA-32 fly-in in Olive Branch, Mississippi. In addition to the flying portion of the internship, they also had responsibilities in both the Marketing and Sales offices. The team quickly trusted them to complete research and large tasks related to Piper’s participation in one of the biggest airshows in the United States in addition to running point on various advertising initiatives. The intern had the confidence to take on new responsibilities thanks to the mentorship and advice offered by those around them.
This experience helped the intern realize what they ultimately want in a career and how unique their path can be. After graduating college in May of 2023 from Purdue University, they hope to begin their career in general aviation and continue to share their love of flying with those around them.

Engineering Intern (Full Time)
