Experiencing Providence College: A Guide to Campus Tours

Stepping onto a college campus, meeting its community, and envisioning oneself within its environment stands as one of the most effective ways to truly understand a higher education institution. Providence College extends a warm welcome to groups of students from diverse high schools and community-based organizations, providing them with the opportunity to explore the campus and gain insights into the College and its admission process, subject to availability.

Who Can Visit?

Group visits are designed for high school students in grades 9-12 who are affiliated with a high school or community-based organization that supports their college aspirations and who may be interested in applying to Providence College. Regrettably, visit opportunities are not available for elementary and/or middle school-aged groups.

When to Visit

Group visits are scheduled during the academic semesters from Tuesday to Thursday, and during the summer months from Monday to Thursday.

Tour Options

Providence College offers two distinct options for group visits:

  • Student-Guided Walking Tour: This tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and provides an overview of the campus.
  • Information Session and Student-Guided Walking Tour: This comprehensive option combines an information session with a student-guided walking tour, lasting approximately 120 minutes.

Chaperone Policy

To ensure the safety and supervision of students, a minimum of one chaperone is required for every eight students in a group. Chaperones are expected to remain with the students at all times during the visit.

Dining on Campus

Groups interested in dining on campus during the academic year can enjoy an all-you-can-eat lunch in Raymond Dining Hall for $10 per person. To streamline the payment process, the Dining Hall recommends a single payment for the entire group, which can be made via check or credit card.
