Understanding Your myPNW Student Portal
Throughout your time as a student, you will use your Career Account, also known as your myPNW student portal, to grant you access to your financial aid notification, online bill status, class information and much more. Your personal login information is located in your admission letter and PNW application portal. Please wait 48 hours after accepting your offer of admission to set up your student account and Purdue Login. The first step in setting up your myPNW student portal is to create your password. You’ll need to enter your 10-digital Purdue ID (located in the PNW application portal). If you have a nine-digit PUID, please enter 0 for the first digit.
Once your password is created, you’ll need to set up your Purdue Login. This two-factor authentication system significantly improves the security of protected computer systems and accounts by requiring two forms of verification before access is granted. Plan to check for messages frequently. In addition, make the myPNW student portal login link a favorite on your computer or smart phone for easy login access.

April 15th is also the deadline to apply for learning communities. Learning communities help foster a sense of community that makes it easier to make friends and meet study mates.
Orientation and Campus Visits
1. Sign Up for NSO: PNW’s New Student Orientation (NSO) will introduce you to classmates and share everything you need to begin life at PNW. 2. Schedule a Visit: Get to know the place you’ll call home-schedule a PNW visit to see what life is like as part of the Pride! Visit Purdue’s Campus One of the best ways to get a feel for a school is by visiting their campus. More specifically, it is best to visit a campus while school is in session. This way you get a better understanding of what daily life looks like for students on campus. There are numerous opportunities in the spring to visit Purdue whether that is through an official daily visit or a “Purdue’s for Me” Day. During Purdue's for Me Day, the Women in Engineering Program hosts a session where you can learn more about the WiE Program and meet current students sharing their experiences about their time at Purdue. You can also learn more about visiting opportunities for admitted students here.

Additional Steps and Considerations
1. Complete any necessary placement tests. Depending on your major, previous test scores, or transfer credit, you may need to complete one or more placement tests. These tests help us get a better idea of which classes you’re ready for in math, English, or a world language.
2. Submit your final high school transcripts. One of the last pieces of your acceptance to Purdue Fort Wayne is submitting your final high school transcripts.
3. Weigh All of your Options: We fully understand the magnitude of the college decision. While it can feel overwhelming to decide what school is the best fit for you, there are specific factors to look into that can help narrow down your decision even further. For example, one of my biggest factors when narrowing down what school I wanted to attend was student quality of life. A piece of advice I received when visiting schools was to ask students you might run into “are you happy here”? I asked my tour guides and students working at a local coffee shop or at the Union if they enjoyed being students at that school. Overwhelmingly, and unsurprisingly now looking back, students at Purdue said they loved it and were so happy they came here. That was something very important to me when deciding where I wanted to go to college.
Admitted Student Day: Your Day
Aside from celebrating your accomplishments, you’ll get to connect with campus in a big way on Admitted Student Day-a special time centered on you. You’ll meet with department reps and hear Mastodon success stories. You’ll be introduced to lots of new people. You’ll receive help with final odds and ends like FAFSA completion, submitting missing materials, and signing up for orientation. Be sure that you’re ready.
