Described by her friends and peers as a woman of faith, devoted to family, detail-oriented, firm, a leader, always willing to help, and a great listener!, Ellwanda brings a wealth of experience and a deep-seated passion to her role as Director.

Ellwanda's qualifications are extensive. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her career path has been consistently focused on the well-being of children. Before accepting the Director position, she served as Field Supervisor for Child and Adult Care Licensing. This experience provided her with invaluable insight into the standards and practices necessary for creating a safe and nurturing environment for young children.

Her commitment extends beyond professional obligations. She is compassionate about children and has been an advocate for them since she was a young girl. She has previous experience working with abused children and children in the foster care system. This background has instilled in her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives.

Ellwanda describes herself as being a person “in service to others” and believes she was placed on earth to help serve others. This philosophy permeates every aspect of her leadership at Purpose Point Learning Academy, creating a culture of care, respect, and unwavering support for children and their families.
