Agricultural education is the focus of the farm, and every child that visits has an authentic, instructive, and exciting opportunity. School tours are offered in both spring (April/May) and fall (Sept/Oct), making education a year-round focus.
Customized Farm Presentations
Red Barn Learning Farm offers customized farm presentations to cater to specific educational needs. Reservations can be made from May to October for any day of the week, depending on farm availability and non-public hours, for groups of 20 or more in 2-hour increments. Longer time can be accommodated at a higher rate. Smaller groups are invited to visit on FARM FRIDAYS during the summer months between 9 am and 3 pm.
Mobile Petting Zoo
Red Barn Learning Farm can bring the farm to you! Utilizing the mobile petting zoo for the next birthday party, graduation party, neighborhood party, employee picnic, or event is a great way to celebrate. The mobile petting zoo is available from May to October.

Spring & Summer: Baby Animals and Fresh Produce
Spring is a quiet time on the farm, with educational tours starting in April and continuing through the end of May. Memorial Day weekend marks the annual opening of the farm to the public. Spring also means baby farm animals, such as baby goats, lambs, and the occasional foal. During the spring/summer season, the country store and barnyard are the focal points of the farm. Summer produce available in the country store includes peaches, sweet corn, tomatoes, melons, and cucumbers.
Fall on the Farm: A Festival of Colors and Flavors
Fall is a special time at Red Barn Learning Farm, with crisp mornings, flannel shirts, cider donuts, hayrides, and pumpkins. Fall fun kicks off early on the farm with U-pick apples beginning Labor Day weekend. Starting in mid-late September, Fall Festival weekends feature hayrides, pumpkins, ponies, caramel apples, BBQ, and apple cider. During the week, educational tours for schools are available, or families may stop by and visit the barnyard and country store. An incredibly diverse selection of colorful pumpkins and gourds are always available for purchase in the main pumpkin yard.
The farm is open for fall hours from Monday to Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm. From May 29th to September 3rd, the farm is open Tuesday to Sunday (closed Monday) from 10 am to 4 pm. From now until Veterans Day, November 11th, the farm is open every day from 9 am to 5 pm. From August 9th to November 1st, the farm is open Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
Weddings at the Farm
Red Barn Learning Farm features two gorgeous wedding barns. The Red Barn is a converted tobacco barn famous for being the first wedding barn in the KC-Metro area. The Timber Barn is a traditionally built timber frame barn.

Additional Activities
Unicorn Rental
The unicorn is available for birthday parties and other special appearances! The unicorn is available for photo opportunities and meet n' greets. The unicorn is not available for riding as it takes away from the "magic" vibe.
Pony Rides
The ponies are available for lead-line rides at your location. The ponies are technically mini horses and can handle children up to 75 lbs. The price is per pony, and the quantity of ponies will depend on how many rides/riders there will be (within a 20-mile radius of the farm location).

A trip to the Weston Red Barn Farm is like visiting a turn-of-the-century working farm. In the spirit of preserving the American dream of farming, the Red Barn Farm offers visitors the opportunity to experience a real working farmstead.
