Established in 2009, RALC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization committed to providing safe, high-quality Chinese after-school and summer camp programs in Chapel Hill and Durham, NC. Camp Details

Dates: From June 23 to Aug 22 (9 weeks)

Time: 8:30am-5:30pm

Limited Enrollment: Space is limited to 26 campers each week, and registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Small Class Sizes: Children are grouped according to age/grade as much as possible and participate in activities in small classes. The teacher-student ratio is under 1:8, ensuring personalized attention.

Daily Schedule

The daily schedule is structured to provide a balance of learning, physical activity, and creative expression:

  • 8:30-9:15am: Drop-off, free reading, board games
  • 9:15-10am: Outdoor workout, sports game, snack
  • 10am-12pm: Field trips (tickets included in tuition) / Craft class
  • 12-1pm: Lunch (provided by the camp)
  • 1-5pm: Chinese class (based on weekly theme) / Math / Youth science/math talk
  • 5-5:30pm: Outdoor play, dismissal

Enrollment Options & Tuition

  • Full Day (8:30am-5:30pm): \$325/week (Lunch included)
  • Afternoons Only (1:00-5:30pm): \$200/week (No lunch)

Tuition Discounts

  • Sibling Discount: 5% off (for full-time only)
  • Multi-Week Discount: 5% off (if 4 or more weeks are registered for one child at the same time)
  • Discounts can be combined (for one child only)

Other Fees

  • Registration Fee:
    • New student: \$50
    • Current RedApple student (if register before Mar 1): Waived
  • Material Fee: \$15 (for students who don’t have math books)

As of May 20, all 9 weeks of our summer camp are full. Registrations received after May 20 will be placed on a waiting list. We will notify you if any spots become available.
