Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Internships: An Opportunity to Engage, Teach, and Inspire

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame offers a unique opportunity for talented and career-driven college and graduate school students to immerse themselves in the world of rock & roll. Through project-based internships, interns can share their skills and support Rock Hall initiatives while learning from some of the best in the industry. These internships provide an in-depth learning and working experience, coupled with weekly career development sessions and panels with Rock Hall staff, providing interns with new tools and resources to begin their careers.

Who Should Apply?

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is searching for talented, career-driven college and graduate school students to share their skills and support Rock Hall initiatives while learning from some of the best in the industry. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college (preferably entering senior year after summer 2026) or graduate program. The Rock Hall recognizes that exceptional candidates may not meet every listed qualification.

Internship Structure and Opportunities

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame values innovation, collaboration, and intentional growth. Internships are project-based, pushing interns to take it up a notch in a fast-paced and exciting work environment. Not only will all interns get an in depth, project-based learning and working experience, but all interns will also participate in an organization wide internship experience.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Library & Archives offers opportunities for intern experiences to graduate students preparing for careers in libraries and archives. An intern must currently be enrolled in a relevant graduate school program and completed coursework related to archives, library and information science, public history, music history, history, museum studies, or the equivalent.

Internship Details

Internships are on-site only, starting May 20th and ending either July 31st or later depending on the internship.

  • Work Hours: A maximum of 20 hours a week can be worked during the academic year for at least 8 weeks. Summer interns can work up to a 40-hour week.

How to Apply

As with most job opportunities, there is no deadline to apply. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will continue to accept applications until they have made a selection and job offer. It is highly recommended you have your application submitted by early February 2026.

The application should include a letter of reference/recommendation from a professor in your field.
