Claremore Junior College experienced rapid growth under the leadership of its first president, Richard Mosier. By 1982, the institution was renamed Rogers State College (RSC) to reflect its expanding regional appeal. In 1985, RSC further extended its reach by opening branch campuses in Bartlesville and Pryor.
