Rollins College Scholarships for International Students
Rollins College annually awards numerous scholarships to talented students, affirming its commitment to supporting the next generation of global leaders. Whether a student excels academically, athletically, or in community service and leadership, Rollins offers scholarships to acknowledge and support their unique strengths. International students are eligible for a variety of scholarships, ranging from partial awards to full tuition coverage.
Automatic Consideration for Merit Scholarships
When applying to Rollins, students are automatically considered for a wide range of merit scholarships that award from $15,000 to more than $65,000 annually, based on a comprehensive review of accomplishments as part of the admission process. No separate scholarship application is required for these awards.
Premier Scholarship Programs
Rollins College offers several premier scholarship programs, including the Alfond Scholars Program, designed to attract exceptional students from around the world.
Alfond Scholars Program
The Alfond Scholars Program is supported by a gift from the Harold Alfond Foundation and annually awards up to 10 full scholarships to entering first-year students in the College of Liberal Arts. This scholarship includes tuition, a double room, and an unlimited meal plan. The Alfond Scholars Program is renewable for three additional years, bringing the value of each scholarship to more than $280,000 over four years.
Alfond Scholars are expected to pursue further prestigious recognition such as Rhodes, Goldwater, or Truman scholarships during their undergraduate years. The program includes:

- Participation and completion of Rollins Honors Degree Program
- Mentoring by Rollins Office of External and Competitive Scholarships and the Associate Dean of Advising
- Enrollment in the Intersession Service Immersion course during the first year
- Participation in at least one off-campus experience such as Washington Semester or study abroad during the first three years
- Maintaining 3.33 GPA
- Living on campus for four years
To be considered for the Alfond Scholarship, students must apply by the Early Action deadline of November 15. Qualifying applicants typically have SATs higher than 1410 (Evidence Based Reading and Math) or ACTs higher than 32 (Composite) and GPAs higher than 3.8. Both test-optional and international students are considered. Strength of high school curriculum and extracurricular involvement are also important factors in our holistic review process. Students considered for the Alfond scholarship may also be considered for additional awards and recognitions, such as increased Dean’s Scholarships, Donald Cram Scholarship (awarded to science majors), and the Honors Degree Program. A select number of qualified applicants will be invited to participate in a virtual interview process with Rollins faculty, staff and current students.

Bonner Leaders Program
The Bonner Leaders Program awards changemaking students up to $3,000 per year and provides unique leadership development and service opportunities. Recipients serve six to eight hours per week at nonprofits in the community and participate in a training and enrichment program to supplement their knowledge and skills. To apply for the program, students must be an incoming first-year student who has already been accepted to Rollins.
Boys & Girls Club Scholarship
This program provides full tuition, room, and board scholarships to students who are members of the Boys & Girls Club. A competitive interview process is conducted in early spring based on admission applications received.
Rosen Scholarship
The Rosen Scholarship provides full tuition, room, and board to students residing in the Parramore and Tangelo Park neighborhoods of Orlando. A competitive interview process is conducted in early spring based on admission applications received.

Music Scholarships
Rollins’ Department of Music offers a number of competitive scholarships to students with a focus in any instrument and any concentration. Music scholarships are awarded on a talent basis and require an audition.
Theatre & Dance Scholarships
Rollins’ Department of Theatre & Dance offers a number of scholarships, including the prestigious Priscilla L. Parker Scholarship, which awards $10,000 per year.
External Scholarship Opportunities
Rollins’ partnership with Raise Me allows you to earn micro-scholarships based on your achievements in high school. If you decide to attend Rollins, you’ll receive either your Rollins scholarships and grants or the sum of your Raise Me scholarships-whichever is higher.
Financial Aid for International Students
Rollins is one of a limited number of colleges in the country to offer international students need-based financial aid in addition to merit-based scholarships. The level of support provided from Rollins ranges widely, depending on particular family circumstances.

Timing is critical in the financial aid process, so international students seeking need-based financial aid must apply at the same time they apply for admission. The pool of international applicants is highly competitive and the level of support provided from Rollins ranges widely, depending on particular family circumstances. Aid is determined based on the information provided by the family on the International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA), as well as the amount of Rollins academic scholarship received. We recommend that you submit the International Student Financial Aid Application within a few days of applying. Students who qualify for need-based assistance can receive financial aid for up to eight semesters. We reserve the right to ask for additional documentation to verify the information submitted.
The priority date to submit this application for international students is February 1.

International Student Financial Aid Application
International students must complete the International Student Financial Aid Application Form. You will gain access to the form through your applicant portal after you submit your application.
Application Requirements for International Students
To apply to Rollins College as an international student, you’ll need to complete your application for admission and a personal statement. We ask that you provide an official high school transcript and a secondary high school report form and an academic letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or other academic reference. If you’re applying for Early Decision, you’ll need to fill out an additional form and schedule a video interview with your counselor.
You will also need to complete the Non-U.S. Citizen Financial Aid Application Form which you'll receive through your applicant portal. Please submit your official TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test scores to Rollins. Our TOEFL iBT code is 5572. If you are submitting IELTS scores, we only accept scores submitted electronically by the IELTS test center. No paper Test Report Forms will be accepted. An institutional code is not required for IELTS. Please request your scores be submitted electronically by the test center. If you are submitting DET scores, once you receive certified test results, you can log into your Duolingo English Test account, click on the "Send Results" button next to your test results, and select Rollins College, and we will receive the results electronically.
English Proficiency
Students may demonstrate competency by submitting scores from TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (International English Language Testing System), or DET (Duolingo English Test). Students can show adequate proficiency with a score 80 on the TOEFL iBT, an overall band score of 6.5 or higher on the IELTS, or 120 or higher on the DET.
Waiver of English Proficiency
Proof of English proficiency can be waived by the following: a score of 550 or higher on the critical reading section of the SAT or transcripts that show you have recently attended a school where English is the main language of instruction for at least two years or more.

These opportunities provide supplemental funding for high-achieving students to study at Rollins.
Goldwater Scholarship
Awarded to sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in mathematics, engineering, and the natural sciences. It covers the cost of tuition, fees, books, and room and board up to a maximum of $7,500 per year.
Truman Scholarship
This highly selective, merit-based scholarship awards students $30,000 toward graduate school and provides the opportunity to participate in professional development programs to help prepare students for careers in public service, including retreats to learn from members of Congress and other Truman Scholars.
Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service
The Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service supports students who have a passion for helping others, experience serving their communities, and can demonstrate an expansive view of what’s possible through public service. Students are awarded a two-year, leadership development and scholarship for up to $50,000.
Gilman Scholarship
Provides funding for U.S. citizens and Pell Grant recipient undergraduates to study abroad and/or to pursue international internships or language study.
Boren Scholarship
In exchange for funding, Boren Scholars commit to work in the federal government for at least one year after graduation. This scholarship focuses on language study and study abroad in areas critical to U.S. national security, economic prosperity, and engagement with the world. Students travel to the country where the language is spoken, live with a host family and complete an intensive language study program.
Critical Language Scholarship (CLS)
A fully-funded online intensive language study program for students interested in learning Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Korean (no previous study required); provides the prerequisite needed for application to the CLS Scholarship program.
Amgen Scholars Program
This program provides a fully paid summer internship for undergraduates considering pursuing a PhD or MD-PhD in any field. Students join a research project at one of 30 partner universities and develop research skills while developing relationships with mentors in their area of study.
