Your Digital Identity: Rowan NetID and Banner ID

Rowan NetID

Your Rowan NetID serves as your primary key to unlock and access various online services offered by Rowan University.

Who Can Get It?

Rowan NetIDs are automatically generated for all faculty, staff, and students upon their enrollment or employment. Affiliates requiring a NetID need to be sponsored through go.rowan.edu/affiliate.

How to Activate It?

Banner ID

Rowan University assigns a unique nine-digit Banner ID number to every member of the Rowan community. You may be asked for your Banner ID when submitting internal forms and applications or to help verify your identity. As a new student, you will receive your nine-digit Banner ID in your admissions and orientation materials.

RowanCard

Submit your photo for your RowanCard as soon as possible to avoid delays with access on campus such as housing, meal plan, etc.

Canvas Learning Management System

Rowan University uses the Canvas learning management system to host and access online course materials. Courses become available to Glassboro students five days before the course begins. Rowan Online Immersion (called ROI) is a free training tutorial provided in the Rowan Canvas learning management system. It is designed to prepare students taking online or hybrid courses for the first-time at Rowan University. Students who have taken online courses at other institutions are encouraged to take ROI so that they become familiar with Rowan's online learning and technology.

Microsoft 365

Students may install Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, on up to five personal computers for free.

Printing Services

You may print directly from an on-campus computer lab or print from your own computer or mobile device by uploading your document to mobileprint.rowan.edu. To see printing locations by Campus, click the menu icon on the map to the left. Printers on red backgrounds offer color printing. Printers on black backgrounds offer black-and-white printing only.

Campus Printing

Upload your document to mobileprint.rowan.edu, swipe your RowanCard at a printing kiosk, select your document and click Print.

RowanWiFi

For most devices, you can log in to RowanWiFi in two steps. RowanWiFi is the easiest way to get online on campus, but it’s important to practice safe computing practices on any network.

RowanSecure

You cannot use a personal device on RowanSecure; this network is for Rowan-managed devices only, as it provides access to internal network resources.

Financial Wellness Course

A two credit course which enables students to understand, manage, and plan for their financial lives during their college years and beyond. Students will learn about concepts related to personal finance including budgeting, setting financial goals, understanding debt, and implementing strategies to prepare for their future and gain tools to better navigate the complexities of personal finance.

Student Emergency Funds

Student Emergency Funds support eligible students facing unexpected hardships. The funds cannot be utilized to satisfy a University bill (e.g. tuition, fees, housing), they may be used for other personal expenses (e.g. transportation, personal health, emergency groceries, basic needs, required technology for remote learning).

FERPA

Orientation

Students will be prompted to register for and particpate in the appropriate Orientation for their program.

Course Schedules

Online, Hybrid, and/or accelerated courses and programs may follow follow different calendars. As per standard Rowan Global policy, online courses are not subject to holiday, weather-related, or other delays or closings; therefore, assignment and testing deadlines are not affected by delays or closings. Rowan courses taught off-site follow the delay-and-closing procedures of the location where the class is being held. (For example, a course that meets at Rowan College of Burlington County will follow Rowan College of Burlington County's delay-and-closing procedures.
