Navigating Rowan University: A Self-Service Guide
Rowan University offers a comprehensive self-service system and various resources designed to empower students and faculty in managing their academic journey. This guide provides an overview of these services and how to effectively utilize them.
Accessing Course Information and Program Guides
For those seeking course descriptions from Fall 2006 to the present, Rowan's Self Service System offers a convenient solution without requiring a login. Program Guides, outlining curricular requirements for each academic program, are typically listed in alphabetical order by college and program name. These guides are provided by the respective academic departments.
Viewing and Printing Program Guides:
Program guides are often available in PDF format. To view and print these, you'll need the free Acrobat Reader software, downloadable from the Adobe website for Macintosh, PC, and UNIX platforms.
MyRowan Portal
The MyRowan portal serves as a centralized hub, providing easy access to all of your Rowan platforms in one convenient location.
Academic Advising
Your Academic Advisor plays a crucial role in your academic success. They can assist with onboarding to Rowan, help you plan your coursework, and serve as a valuable resource throughout your studies. It is recommended to meet with your advisor at least once per semester. You can find your Advisor and their contact information in the OASIS Directory.

Online and Hybrid Courses
It is important to note that online, hybrid, and accelerated courses and programs may adhere to different academic calendars. As per standard Rowan Global policy, online courses are not affected by holiday, weather-related, or other delays or closings. Consequently, assignment and testing deadlines remain unchanged during such events.
Rowan Online Immersion (ROI):
Rowan Online Immersion (ROI) is a complimentary training tutorial available within the Rowan Canvas learning management system. Designed for students taking online or hybrid courses for the first time at Rowan University, ROI familiarizes them with Rowan's online learning environment and technology. Even students with prior online learning experience at other institutions are encouraged to take ROI.
Off-Site Courses:
Rowan courses taught off-site follow the delay-and-closing procedures of the location where the class is being held. For example, a course at Rowan College of Burlington County will adhere to Rowan College of Burlington County's delay-and-closing procedures.
