Responsibilities and Expectations

Interns will develop and assist in maintaining software automation tools used to manage source code, builds, testing frameworks, artifacts, deployment, monitoring & configuration of the various RBC US WM applications. They will understand the needs of consumers for whom the tools and systems are being developed and the standard SDLC and CI/CD concepts, practices, and procedures.

Interns will also participate in the design and development of internal solutions that meet functional requirements and are maintainable over time. Eligibility Requirements

They must self-identify as Black and/or an Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) person of Canada, have a strong academic record, varied extra-curricular participation, and a genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance upon graduation. Applicants must also be available to join a full-time summer internship program running May to August 2026 and be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer up to and including August 2026. The program is open to eligible students from all academic programs, with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) students encouraged to apply.

Application Requirements

A complete application includes an updated, one-page PDF resume including the cumulative GPA, a one-page cover letter detailing the interest in a career in Investment Banking or Global Markets with RBC Capital Markets, and official or unofficial academic transcripts of any post-secondary semesters completed to date, including Fall 2024 grades.

A demonstrable interest in the Finance sector and active student membership with one of RBC’s charity partners (10,000 Black Interns, GAIN, upReach, SEO London) are required at the time of application.
