As a Sacramento State graduate, you are a part of the Hornet family for life. Starting January 1, 2020, all alumni are now members of the Sacramento State Alumni Association! This inclusive approach ensures that every graduate can access the resources and advantages the SSAA provides.
Claiming Your Membership and Accessing Benefits
When you claim your membership card and update your information, you instantly start receiving all the benefits that membership has to offer. SSAA membership is open to all alumni, faculty, staff, emeriti, former students, donors, and friends of Sacramento State.
Staying Connected and Involved
The SSAA's mission is to keep alumni connected to Sacramento State. SSAA members receive communications, invitations to events, opportunities to share expertise, and information on ways to connect with fellow alumni and students. By refocusing our membership structure, we are renewing our commitment to all of our graduates-strengthening the ways we support you in your career and well-being throughout your lifetime.
Affiliating with Chapters
You can select chapters to affiliate with when you fill out our online form to claim your membership card. Sacramento State Alumni Association members can affiliate with up to three chapters. Our chapters provide the opportunity to develop professional networks, advance social networks, volunteer in the community, engage with students, continue your education, and connect with your alma mater.

Sacramento State Alumni Association members and legacy life members receive a 10 percent discount on career assessments provided by Andrea Weiss, a national certified counselor with over 20 years of experience. Services are complimentary for Hornet alumni.

The Alumni Association has teamed up with Liberty Mutual to provide a group discount on auto, home, and renters insurance.

Campus Resources
For a modest fee, members are entitled to check out books from any library of any campus in the California State University system. Privileges and fees vary according to campus. At Sacramento State, an Association member may check out as many as five books at any one time. Simply present your membership card at the library to receive this benefit. Members are eligible to sign up for The WELL at monthly alumni membership rates. The Wellness, Education, Leisure and Lifestyle facility known as "The WELL" is Sac State's fitness and wellness facility. For membership types and monthly rates, please visit The WELL online. Parking permit not included.
WELL Alumni Membership Options
The WELL offers a variety of membership options for Alumni who are current members of the Alumni Association.
- Monthly Recurring Membership: are billed monthly and have a 4-month minimum commitment.
- Alumni - $35/ mo. Available to Alumni who have an active membership with the Alumni Association
- Recent Grad - $20/mo. Available to Alumni who have graduated in the past 5 years and are members of the Alumni Association.
- Pre-paid Alumni - $16/mo. Available to Alumni who attended Sac State between Fall 2006 - Summer 2010. Verification required.
WELL Alumni membership does not include parking. In order to park on campus please purchase a parking pass through UTAPS, or a daily parking pass through the PaytoPark app. We encourage environmentally friendly alternative forms of transportation, such as bikes, scooters, Light rail, carpooling, etc. in order to save money on parking.
Entertainment and Recreation
Members pay the student price on all Theatre & Dance Productions.
Members receive a 10 percent discount on regular price Hornet Bookstore merchandise. Discount does not apply to computer software or hardware, electronics, or textbooks.

Members receive one-time discount of affiliate pricing on equipment rentals and all leisure classes, including sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddling, rowing, and more. Legacy Life members receive affiliate pricing anytime. Members must be participating in the activities to receive the discount.

Publications
New subscribers can receive 52 weeks of the Sacramento Business Journal for just $75 (Retail - $150). This includes print and/or digital delivery. You also receive the Book of Lists, full access to subscriber only content and breaking business news.
Class Rings
The Alumni Association is proud to partner with Balfour to celebrate your academic achievement at Sacramento State with a class ring. Steeped in tradition, Balfour class rings are hand-crafted and completely customizable.
Facility Reservations
Our members can reserve the Harper Alumni Center for private events. The Harper Alumni Center is host to weddings, conferences, special events, and meetings. A rental fee and proof of insurance will apply.
Our members can reserve the campus' Alumni Grove and restroom facilities for private events through the Office of Space Management. A rental fee and proof of insurance will apply.
Continuing Education
Members receive a 10 percent discount on select non-credit classes offered through the College of Continuing Education. Must register in person.
The Student Alumni Association (SAA)
The Student Alumni Association (SAA) is for current Sac State Students! SAA promotes opportunities to gain volunteer and leadership experience. Some of your most important learning will occur outside the classroom, and we encourage you to always challenge yourself to grow as a member of the Sacramento State community. SAA celebrates the University legacy by promoting tradition. SAA helps students build a lifelong connection with their alma mater. Campus involvement is one of the best ways to become a part of Sacramento State.
SAA Events and Activities
The SAA hosts a variety of events throughout the year to engage students and alumni. Some examples include:
