Sacred Heart School: Tuition Fees, Accessibility, and Commitment to Catholic Education

Sacred Heart Catholic School is dedicated to providing accessible and diverse Catholic education. The school strives to maintain affordable tuition and fees through various support systems, including family contributions to local parish tithing, private donations, school fundraising efforts, and volunteer support hours. These combined efforts create school subsidies that benefit all students.

Financial Assistance and Scholarships

Sacred Heart offers need-based tuition assistance scholarships through partner organizations and donor-directed school funds. The amount of aid provided to each family depends on the availability of funds and the family's specific circumstances, which may result in varying amounts of assistance from student to student.

To facilitate the financial assistance process, the school utilizes FACTS, an external service that collects and processes all financial assistance paperwork, aiding the school's Financial Assistance Committee in determining financial need.

Tuition Calculation and Education Freedom Accounts

Sacred Heart calculates full tuition based on the cost of educating each student. Starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, all students who are eligible to enroll in a public elementary or secondary school in Arkansas and have at least one parent who is a resident of Arkansas will be eligible for an Education Freedom Account (EFA). These accounts are designed to help families cover tuition and fees.

The tuition amounts reflect the balance due per student after the application of EFA funds and a subsidy benefit extended to all families, made possible through parish and donor support.

Additional Fees

In addition to tuition, there are other fees to consider:

  • Fees (for books, materials, etc.): \$390 per student, due at registration.

School Engagement Fee

Parent participation in their child’s education, both academically and by working at various school activities and fundraisers, is a significant part of the Sacred Heart experience. The equity earned through fundraising and donations helps to maintain affordable tuition, keeps parents engaged with their child’s school, and teaches students the value of service and supporting causes that matter. It also provides a subsidy that keeps tuition affordable.

Payment Schedule

Tuition payments are due on the first of each month, starting in August at Registration. Payments can be made monthly over a period of 10 months.
