- Is not program- or major-specific.
- Includes part-time and evening classes.
- Has no age limit.
- Is not a loan.
- Award Details:
- Students earning a two-year degree can receive the award for up to four full-time semesters or the equivalent.
- Eligibility Requirements:
- American Indian Scholars Program (AISP): This program provides a first-dollar tuition and fee-free pathway for Minnesotans eligible for resident tuition who are enrolled members or citizens of any federally recognized tribe or Canadian First Nation to attend a Minnesota State institution or the University of Minnesota.*Applicants must submit a copy of their Tribal Enrollment Card with their application
- Minnesota Paramedic Scholarship: This is a temporary scholarship program for Minnesota residents completing a paramedic diploma or degree. A one-time appropriation for $3 million will provide up to 600 scholarships of $5000 each starting Fall 2024 to be awarded by June 30, 2026.
- Eligibility: Eligible students are Minnesota residents attending an eligible paramedic program and taking paramedic program courses.
- Alliss Opportunity Grant: This grant is available to Minnesota residents who have a child 12 years old or younger (or 14 or younger if the child is handicapped) and whose family size and income qualify for the program. The student must not be receiving assistance from the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP). Interested students should complete the Postsecondary Child Care Grant application.
- Joyce Ivy Summer Scholars Scholarship: This scholarship is tailored for high-achieving, female-identifying high school students residing in Minnesota (as well as Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Nebraska, Missouri, North Dakota, or South Dakota) entering 11th or 12th grade. The amount is $6,600, and the deadline is March 1, 2026.
- PFund Scholarship: The PFund Foundation Scholarship provides financial support to LGBTQ+ students from the Upper Midwest at all stages of their education. The amount is $12,000, and the deadline is March 3, 2026.
- Ely Branch, AAUW Scholarship: Ely Branch, AAUW is offering one scholarship to any woman (highschool or beyond) who has applied to or been accepted to a non traditionaltrade program (ie plumber, electrician, mechanic, HVAC Tech, boilermaker,construction worker, line person). Amount: $2,000 (scholarship is contingent on acceptance into a tradeprogram and will be paid directly to the Trade School/College)
- Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce (GRACC) Scholarship: This year the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce will be giving out a total of TWO $500.00 scholarships. Applications are due by April 1, 2025.
