SJSU Student Services: A Comprehensive Overview
San Jose State University (SJSU) provides a wide array of student services designed to support students throughout their academic journey and beyond. These services encompass academic, financial, organizational, and practical aspects of student life, aiming to create a conducive environment for learning and personal growth.
Academic Support and Resources
SJSU is committed to providing students with the resources they need to succeed academically. The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library, located at 150 E. Martin Luther King Jr., offers extensive resources and services to both students and non-students. Students can obtain a library card to access a wide range of materials, services, and student-only resources.
Students are responsible for officially dropping classes. If a student officially drops a class, their account will reflect a "Drop" or "W" grade. However, simply informing an instructor of an intent to withdraw or ceasing to attend may not automatically drop students from a class.
Financial Services and Assistance
SJSU offers several financial services to help students manage their finances and tuition payments.
Payment Options
Students can make PG&E payments free of charge on the same day they are due. The university also offers a money order service (though currently unavailable) with a limit of $500 per money order and a $1 charge per money order. Students can sign up for Direct Deposit (eRefund) to avoid processing fees.

Fee Policies
It is important to note that the CSU (California State University) strives to keep student costs to a minimum. However, students should be aware that published tuition fees are subject to change and may be increased or decreased once the instruction period for a particular semester or quarter has begun. If a student has an outstanding balance due on their account, a hold will be placed on their records, preventing registration from being processed.
Student Organization Support
SJSU recognizes the importance of student involvement and provides ample support for campus organizations.
Recognized Student Organizations
The university offers resources and accounting services to officially Recognized Student Organizations. These organizations can open a campus banking account called a Student Organization Campus Trust Account.
A.S. Funding
Once an organization has been approved by the Associated Students (A.S.), they may be eligible for A.S. Student Organization Funding.
Practical Services
SJSU offers a range of practical services to enhance the convenience and well-being of its students.

Other Services
Additional services include faxing, where pages can be sent or received for $1 per page, and notarization services at $15 per signature.
SJSUOne Account
Students can manage their SJSU accounts online. If a student cannot remember their password, they can click on “SJSUOne Set/Reset Password” to recover access.
Mission and Goals
SJSU aims to provide students with the guidance and opportunities needed to successfully prepare for their futures.
