Over the years, 10 Hatters have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winners Jacob deGrom and Corey Kluber.

Recent Matchup: UCF Knights vs. Stetson Hatters
In a recent game, the UCF Knights rallied to defeat Stetson with a final score of 7-6. The Knights, trailing by three runs in the eighth inning, mounted a comeback to secure the win.
Head coach Greg Lovelady expressed his pride: "I'm proud of the kids. [The] last two innings we just kind of woke up and obviously the big home run there by Drew [Faurot]," Lovelady added. "Again, proud of the kids for competing to the last out and finding a way to win the game today."

Ben McCabe had an outstanding performance, going 5-5 and marking his second game of the season with five hits. In the ninth inning, with the Knights down by a run, McCabe reached first on an infield single, and Andrew Sundean reached on an error, placing runners on first and second with one out. Cole Russo then smashed a single up the middle, allowing Corey Robinson, who pinch-ran for McCabe, to score and tie the game at 6-6.
Earlier in the game, John Rhys Plumlee drew a leadoff walk in the third inning, followed by McCabe singling and advancing Plumlee to third. Sundean then hit a base hit to left field, extending the Knights' lead to two.
Freshman Cameron Leiter started against Stetson for the second time this season and delivered another strong performance. In the fourth inning, Brait made a crucial double play at third base after a hit-by-pitch and a walk had put Stetson in a scoring position.
McCabe singled to left field to lead off the fifth inning, reaching base for the third time. With the bases loaded and one out, Stetson capitalized when freshman Lorenzo Meola hit a 1-2 pitch to center field, scoring two runs to tie the game at 3-3. Shortly after, the Hatters took their first lead on a passed ball.
Kyle Kramer pitched the final frame for the Knights, striking out two of the three batters he faced, setting up UCF for the walk-off win in its final at-bat.
