Stetson University's Cross Country Program: A Foundation for Success
Stetson University, nestled in DeLand, Florida, has a rich history of athletic and academic excellence. Expanding Horizons: The New Track Program
Stetson University recently revealed plans to launch a new NCAA Division I outdoor track and field team in 2027, with a focus on distance events. The distance-focused program will utilize existing resources.

Leadership and Vision
Kristin McWilliams, the current head coach of the cross-country program, will also lead the new outdoor track and field team. Her leadership will be crucial in integrating the two programs and ensuring the athletes' success.
Competitive Opportunities
The Hatters' track and field team will have the opportunity to compete in the ASUN and the NCAA Division I postseason, similar to their cross-country counterparts during the fall season. This expansion provides a year-round competitive platform for Stetson's distance runners.

Recent Cross-Country Performance
