Exploring Employment Opportunities at Stonehill College

Stonehill College, founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1948, is a private Catholic college located in Easton, Massachusetts, just 22 miles from downtown Boston. Faculty Positions

Stonehill College offers a range of faculty positions across various departments. Full-time faculty tenure track employment is defined as employment that offers tenure track or potential tenure track status, exists at the associate or assistant professor level, and generally requires a Ph.D.

  • Sociology and Anthropology Department: The Sociology and Anthropology Department at Stonehill College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology position to begin in August 2026. This person will join a department of 9 full-time faculty with a wide range of disciplinary expertise and a commitment to fostering diversity among faculty and students.   • Department of Visual and Performing Arts: The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Stonehill College invites applications for a Professor of Practice in Theatre to support their growing B.A. in Performing Arts with a Theatre concentration.
  • Department of Health Science: The Department of Health Science kindly invites applicants for a Professor of Practice, assistant level in Exercise Science, to begin in August 2026. The position does not require a scholarship in the field, and there is a possibility of promotion.   • Education Department: The Education Department invites applications for a full-time Professor of Practice in Elementary Education for the Fall 2026 academic year.
  • Department of Accounting & Taxation: The Department of Accounting & Taxation in the Leo J. Meehan School of Business at Stonehill College invites applicants for a Professor of Practice position in Accounting & Taxation beginning Fall 2026.
  • Division of Graduate & Professional Studies: The Division of Graduate & Professional Studies seeks applicants for part-time faculty positions to teach in the graduate business program starting with the Spring ’26 semester.

The Health Science Department at Stonehill College may have teaching opportunities for adjunct faculty in the coming semesters, starting this Fall of 2025 and Spring 2026. They are interested in individuals who can teach an undergraduate course from the following: Introduction to Exercise Science, Applied Musculoskeletal Anatomy (lecture and lab), Biomechanics, or Strength & Conditioning.

Staff Positions

Full and part-time exempt and non-exempt positions exist within the various departments of the college. Generally, a bachelor's degree and previous experience are minimum qualifications for these positions.

  • The Farm at Stonehill: The Farm Director oversees the entire operation of The Farm at Stonehill, supervising the planting, harvesting, and distribution of produce, coordinating all volunteer activities, and designing and conducting educational programs at the farm.
  • Campus Police: Answer department telephones, assist visitors/ students/faculty & staff at the Campus Police window, issue temporary parking passes, heavy data entry - input of parking violations, vehicle registrations, filing, make new HIllcards for students/staff & faculty members, other duties /special projects as assigned.
  • Media Technology Services: To handle all aspects of Media Technology Services support. Person must be dependable when accepting tasks.
  • Accessibility Services: Accessibility Services Peer Note Sharers provide support to students enrolled in the same course and section in which a student with a pre-approved peer note sharing accommodation is registered. During the Fall and Spring Semesters, Accessibility Ambassadors will each work for 4-8 hours per week to support the students and staff of Accessibility Services and the Navigation Center for Student Success by creating a welcoming and professional environment while assisting with the daily operations of the office.
  • Athletics Department: As an integral member of Stonehill College’s Department of Athletics, the Head Field Hockey Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the structure, leadership, and administration of the Field Hockey program in a manner that aligns with the mission and values of the College and Athletics department. The Athletics Video Production Crew members work with a team of producers and fellow crew members to execute the successful live video production of Stonehill’s home athletic events for SkyhawksVision on NEC Front Row. Assist the Home Operations Manager to ensure that spectators, athletes, and coaches, all have a positive experience during Varsity Athletics home events.
  • Sports Complex: Sports Complex Building Staff is responsible for performing any or all of the following duties and obligations: 1) Fitness Center monitor and maintenance. 2) Weight Room monitor and maintenance. 3) Control Desk worker. 5) Other duties as assigned 6) Potential for administering supervisory duties. The department does not guarantee any specific hours or requests for the above categories.

Bargaining Unit Positions

Positions in the Bargaining Unit are union positions, represented by AFL-CIO Local #615 Services Union.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern MA: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern MA has a volunteer mentoring program on campus! Get matched with a local child in Easton/Brockton who could benefit from a mentor.
  • Coaching4Change (C4C): As a Coaching4Change (C4C) College Mentor, you will work with a team of peers and professional educators to mentor and support K-12 students enrolled in school at one of our local district partners. C4C has full school-day, half-day, and after-school opportunities available.

Other Opportunities

  • Innovative Community App Project: Project Overview: We are building and scaling an innovative community app designed to support individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with their families and staff. The app brings people together in one safe, engaging digital space to access resources, learn skills, connect socially, and get real support.
  • Hopeful Hearts: Hopeful Hearts is a statewide coalition of agencies, organizations, and individuals working together to address an often-overlooked need. Supporting the romantic and social lives of individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Additional Skills/Requirements for Some Positions

  • Customer Service: Good customer service skills is a must. Answering phones, speaking to parents and students, scanning and indexing documents into the computer. General office duties and projects as assigned. Confidentiality is essential. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30, work hours would be approx.
  • Fitness Classes: Leading and instructing participants in a variety of fitness classes including, but not limited to; yoga, Zumba, kettlebell, TRX, Barre.
