Navigating Your Student Home Page: A Comprehensive Guide

Upon logging into your student account, you'll be greeted by your home page, a central hub designed to keep you informed and organized. This guide will walk you through the key features of your student home page, including the notification feed and the to-do list, as well as other functionalities.

Understanding the Notification Feed

The Notification Feed serves as an activity log, providing a chronological list of important updates and events. Each time you've been assigned an assessment or a lesson, an assessment has been graded, or when a class board or blog post has been added, you’ll see a notification in this feed. This allows you to stay on top of deadlines, track your academic progress, and engage with your course content.

Mastering Your To-Do List

The To-Do List is a dynamic tool that displays assigned assessments and lessons that haven't been completed yet. It is prominently displayed on your Home page.

How the To-Do List Works

  • Prioritization: Assessments and lessons are listed in order of their due date. If an item doesn't have a due date, it will appear in the order it was assigned. Overdue assessments and lessons are always at the top of the list, ensuring you address them first.
  • Direct Access: You can click on any item in the list to go directly to that assessment or lesson, saving you time and effort.
  • Display: You see 3 assessments and/or lessons at once. If you have more assessments or lessons, click Show All.

Leveraging Additional Features and Resources

Beyond the notification feed and to-do list, your student home page may offer access to a variety of other features and resources designed to enhance your learning experience.

Connect Platform Navigation

Many courses utilize online platforms like Connect. If your instructor provided a URL to register for your course, follow the provided instructions to get started. Connect offers numerous functionalities, including completing proctored assignments and tracking your progress. Technical support for Connect is typically readily available through the platform itself or your institution's IT department.

GoReact

GoReact is another platform commonly used in educational settings, often for video-based assignments and feedback.

McGraw Hill eBook and AI Reader

Many Connect courses automatically include an eBook, providing a digital version of your textbook. These eBooks often include features such as highlighting, note-taking, and search functionality. McGraw Hill’s AI Reader is a generative AI learning tool within your eBook.

Accessing Grades

Grades from the current semester will be available for view.

ACEMAPP: A Collaborative Platform

ACEMAPP is a collaborative platform for healthcare education, compliance, and recruitment. The steps below provide general guidance and may vary from your school and/or clinical site's specific process.

Initial Login and Profile Completion

Use the Resend Verification button on the acemapp.org login page. When you first log in to ACEMAPP, you will be prompted to review and consent to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Your profile is considered part of your compliance and must be completed before you can navigate to your home page to complete requirements.

Membership Fee

Some schools require students to pay the $50 ACEMAPP membership fee. Once your membership is paid, you can navigate to your Student Home page to complete your assigned school and clinical site onboarding materials.

Navigation and Compliance

You can easily navigate ACEMAPP by creating shortcuts, setting your home page as the default, and using bookmarks and breadcrumbs effectively. Click your "Name" in the upper right blue area and select "Student" under the Navigation panel to arrive at your Student Home page. Your home page's "Affiliations" section shows your compliance. You must check the "Compliance" column for your school and each rotation you are assigned to in ACEMAPP. A green check indicates that you have completed everything in ACEMAPP. A red "X" means that you have incomplete items. Pending items are considered incomplete until the school or clinical site approves them.
