Interest areas include interdisciplinary biosciences, biomedicine, and data science. Additionally, students develop skills in ethics and communication while engaging in socials and weekly seminars. At the culmination of the experience, students present their work at a professional Research Showcase. Also, they receive three college credits and assured admission to the University of Arizona’s W.A. Competitive applicants demonstrate a clear passion for science, have taken biology and chemistry, and possess solid writing skills.

Business Careers Awareness Program: The Business Careers Awareness Program is a week-long residential experience. Students explore business careers, network, and immerse themselves in the University of Arizona community. While doing so, they take entrepreneurship, marketing, business communications, and accounting classes and participate in a business plan competition.

Helios Scholars at TGen: Each summer, 45 Helios Scholars spend eight weeks working in TGen's laboratories, receiving one-on-one mentorship from TGen scientists as they pursue new discoveries about serious illnesses such as Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, infectious diseases and many types of cancer.
Bank of America Student Leaders Program: Student Leaders recognizes those who lead and serve in their own communities and beyond. Banner Boswell’s Junior Volunteer program: The eight-week program is open to young adults age 14 and older. Junior volunteers work in dozens of roles in nearly all departments, including Pharmacy, our Child Development Center, nursing units and even at our coffee bar.
