The TAIT Internship Program: An Immersive Experience
The TAIT Internship program is a fully immersive, experiential program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the live entertainment industry. Interns are placed in a department based on their major and interests, but it is up to them to set goals and define their experience at TAIT. The program is open to college juniors, seniors, and graduate students as well as students attending a two-year trade school. Residents only.
Operations Internship: A Deep Dive into Custom Fabrication
For those interested in operations management, the Operations Internship offers a key understanding of operations management in a custom fabrication environment. Operations Interns will experience multiple stages of the unique TAIT project lifecycle through support of operations functions such as Production Support, Process Alignment and Analysis, Scheduling, Quality Control, Safety, Fabrication, Machining, and Central Services.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities
The Operations Internship provides a comprehensive overview of the various stages involved in TAIT's project lifecycle. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to and learn from the following areas:
- Production Support: Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient resource allocation.
- Process Alignment and Analysis: Analyzing existing processes and identifying areas for improvement, contributing to the optimization of production workflows.
- Scheduling: Supporting the scheduling team in coordinating production schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Quality Control: Participating in quality control checks to ensure that products meet TAIT's high standards.
- Safety: Promoting a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and identifying potential hazards.
- Fabrication: Gaining hands-on experience in the fabrication process, learning about various techniques and materials.
- Machining: Observing and assisting with machining operations, understanding the precision and skill required in this area.

Internship Details: Location, Compensation, and Eligibility
The Operations Internship position is located in Lititz, PA. It is important to note that housing and transportation will not be provided. This internship is paid at a rate of $18 an hour and is not eligible for benefits or paid time off.
