Regional Alumni Networks: Owls Are Everywhere!
Owls are Everywhere! We have six Regional Networks (Atlanta, DMV, Greater Philly, Northern California, Los Angeles, Metropolitan New York) that connect alumni with one another and Temple through the regions in which they live and work to foster a sense of community among all Owls. We work to engage regional alumni through programmatic, volunteer, philanthropic, and communications points of contact and connection. These networks look to be additional communities for you, and to help you continue your lifelong relationship with Temple. We strive to ensure all alumni feel connected and engaged to Temple everywhere. There are opportunities for alumni who are passionate about Temple and its mission, want to get involved in some way, but want a more flexible, less structured volunteer role. Examples of involvement may include supporting regional admissions activities; hosting informal pop-up events; recommending outstanding Owls in your region; and more. Learn more about this opportunity at alumni.temple.edu/alumni-pop-up.
Affinity Networks: Connecting Through Shared Experiences
Our Affinity Networks are alumni groups convened around self-identified personal affinities, common interests, and shared university experiences. The Temple University Black Alumni Alliance (TUBAA) and Temple Women’s Network (TWN) work to connect their respective constituents to one another and back to the University through events, community service, communication and philanthropy. Sign up for one or more of our affinity listservs!
In addition to supporting these current shared-identity affinity networks, Temple Alumni Relations strives to broaden and enrich affinity, identity-based and shared-interest groups (e.g., Owl Team Ambassadors, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Study Abroad), programs and opportunities. This will ensure Temple is more inclusive and adaptable, and connecting to current and future alumni interests. Stay tuned for more to come!
